When we were first introduced to Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, we learned the couple initially connected on an international dating app. Within several months, the two met in person and Deavan immediately became pregnant. Although the couple hardly knew each other, they decided to make a go of it. Jihoon’s amazing parents came to the U.S. to spend more time with Deavan and her daughter Drascilla and the couple became engaged. Unfortunately, Jihoon was not able to arrive in the U.S. in time for the birth of their son, Taeyang.
Deavan and the baby soon moved to South Korea to be with Jihoon, initially leaving her daughter behind while she settled in the country. The couple faced challenges, both financial and cultural, but soon married. That is where we have left off at this point on the show, but it was recently revealed that the couple were expecting another baby. The pregnancy news actually leaked out when Deavan was asking insurance questions on a private Facebook group page and the screen shots went public.
Sadly, Deavan announced on Instagram that she has had a miscarriage. She shared, “A lot of people have been asking if I am pregnant. I haven’t addressed this head on yet. I want to first start off by saying, thank you so much for your support and love. With heavy hearts we have to announce sad news. Last Monday we did end up losing our baby.”
How sad for the couple. Although Deavan and Jihoon are facing financial, cultural and other obstacles, it is clear that the two are really in love. This is one 90 Day Fiance Couple that gives you hope.

Deavan went on to say, “We are heartbroken and are focusing on healing. I want to apologize for not telling anyone sooner. But we needed this time to heal as a family.”
Certainly, no one would think an apology would be necessary under these circumstances. Healing from such a loss has different time frames for everyone.

Amazingly, Deavan is also thinking of others during this time. She stated, “A lot of people go through this, and we feel for so many people and wish everyone who has suffered through this same situation happiness and healing. We are healing and doing better, and want to thank everyone for your support during this very difficult time. Deavan and Jihoon.”
I have to say that I am pretty impressed that the couple is thinking of others during their time of grieving. It says a lot about the character of both of them.

Deavan and Jihoon have experienced a great deal in a short time–a baby, engagement, marriage, a miscarriage, a move to another country and the blending of families. Despite all this, the couple is handling things with a level of class and dignity not always seen on reality television.
