Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days was probably one of the most normal since the beginning of the season. But it also was very informative and really set up viewers for the Tell All next week. I already know this is just the calm before the storm. There is no way the crazy won’t reemerge just in time for next week’s reunion. I am so ready to find out what has been going on behind the scenes.
Benjamin struggles through the bride price ceremony. Tim leaves Colombia with unfinished business. Tom Brooks plans a big gesture for Darcey Silva’s last night. Angela Deem feels uneasy at her engagement party. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days recap!
REBECCA, 47 (GEORGIA) AND ZIED, 26 (TUNISIA)
After her shocking revelation, Rebecca wanders around looking for Zied. She has kept the fact that she was still married a secret their entire relationship. Zied is furious, but calms down when told that the divorce should be finalized within another week.

Rebecca, you better have your affairs in order when you return home. Zied looked like he was ready to burst straight out of his clothes from his fit of of jealousy. I don’t know why Rebecca thought she could just casually drop a bomb like that.
BENJAMIN, 33 (PHOENIX, AZ) and AKINYI, 25 (KENYA)
Akinyi’s father abruptly stops the bride price ceremony so his daughter could help Benjamin. This is considered highly unusual. But from the way he is stuttering and sweating, he needs all the help he can get. During negotiations, Akinyi realizes that Benjamin is now only offering $600 for her hand in marriage.
Akinyi’s father is insulted, but accepts the marriage arrangement when he agrees to continue to pay an unspecified amount until his debt is paid. In an on-camera interview, Akinyi confesses that it was a mistake for Benjamin’s not to ask the sum. He could be paying for the rest of his life! Those hot pockets and Doritos may seem like filet mignon compared to what they will eat now that Benjamin has another bill to pay.

It’s Benjamin’s last day in Africa with his new Kenyan wife, Akinyi. Benjamin pushes to see if his new bride enjoyed their wedding night. From her facial expressions, it doesn’t seem like there is much to tell. He inquires on what exactly he is expected to pay her father for the bride price. Akinyi basically tells him he will just have to pay until her parents are happy.
Benjamin takes Akinyi to dinner on his last night in Kenya. She is shocked to find out that Benjamin hasn’t told anyone in his family thatt he is now legally married in Kenya. She feels that there has to be a reason he is hiding their marriage. Akinyi is so upset that when the food arrives she immediately asks to take it to go. In a confessional interview, Benjamin claims that he will tell everyone he is married. He just isn’t looking forward to explaining it to the people who will doubt the validity of their relationship.
CAESAR, 46 (NORTH CAROLINA) AND MARIA, 28 (UKRAINE)
Caesar has finally made contact with Maria now that he has stopped questioning her about Mexico. Conveniently a week after he returned from his lonely trip, Maria reached out to apologize. She then resumed asking for money to pay her bills once again. Since the failed trip, he has sent her a whopping $2,000. Sigh! I don’t think there is any hope for this poor delusional soul.

Caesar meets with his friend Jeremy to inform him that he is now back with Maria. He is even planning a trip to Cuba at her direction. WTF!!! The only way I would go on another trip in hopes of meeting Maria is if she paid for it. Jeremy tries to talk some sense into his friend, but to no avail. It’s clear that Caesar is a gullible fool that will do anything for love.
AVERY, 19 (OHIO) and OMAR, 24 (SYRIA)
Avery Mills and her mother, Teri, go talk to a lawyer about the visa process to get Omar Albakour to America. The lawyer explains that her only hope would be to apply for a waiver due to the travel ban restrictions. Avery has an emotional breakdown when she realizes that waivers are rarely granted. At least the lawyer was very honest with her about her chances. Even if the waiver was granted, it could take years to be approved. Teri gets the break she has been waiting on, when the lawyer advises that moving to Syria could hurt Avery’s chances of being approved. Avery needs to prove she lives, works and is experiencing hardship in the U.S.

Avery meets with her family to discuss her options to be with Omar. She has decided that her only choice may be for them both to apply for visas in another country. Her family is devastated at the notion of not being in her life. Avery feels she will have to sacrifice her existing family in order for a chance to have her own.
TIMOTHY, 38 (NORTH CAROLINA) AND JENIFFER, 25 (COLOMBIA)
Jeniffer is still upset that she was given another woman’s ring. She agrees to wear it on a different finger so that Timothy is reminded that he has to replace it. Personally, I would NOT have worn that ring. My unhappy face would be the only reminder necessary. At dinner, Timothy announces he needs to leave Columbia with a “bang” which is code for sex. Okay… Timothy is extremely weird. Who sleeps with someone every night but feels like they need to announce their intention to have sex beforehand?

Timothy is leaving Columbia and Jeniffer is still sexually frustrated. On the way to the airport, he shares his frustration that Jeniffer fell asleep instead of spending that time with him. Jeniffer claims that it was 1 am and Timothy never attempted to make a move on her. I’m sorry but something is very off with Timothy.
Nonetheless, the couple claims they love one another and want a future together. Jeniffer seemed to accept that her boyfriend isn’t a sexual person.
DARCEY, 44 (CONNECTICUT) AND TOM, 39 (UNITED KINGDOM)
After four years of knowing each other, Tom finally realizes he is in love with Darcey. At a romantic dinner, he finally pours out his heart to her in a very sweet monologue. Tom dramatically reveals a ring box, which to Darcey’s disappointment only contains a key to his house. Ummm WTH… they live in two different countries. This key could only be a symbolic gesture more than anything else. I wonder how long this will last. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great Darcey has found someone to deal with her brand of crazy. I am not sure how sustainable this long distance relationship truly is though.
After spending three weeks with Tom, it’s time for Darcey to return home. On the ride to the airport, Tom tells her he is going to be busy for the next 10 days so he won’t have much time to talk to her. He probably just needs a break from dealing with her.

The two share an emotional goodbye before she gets on her flight. After Tom leaves, he is compelled to return for a second one. I have to admit, I am shocked that Darcey held her composure the entire episode. Not even one crazy moment for our viewing pleasure. Oh well. I’m sure she will make up for that, on the next episode.
ANGELA, 53 (HAZLEHURST, GA) AND MICHAEL, 29 (NIGERIA)
It’s the day of Angela and Michael Ilesanmi engagement party. The couple is extremely nervous to reveal the news from the fertility clinic to Michael’s mother. After arriving at the party, the couple is ushered away to get ready. Angela complains about being uncomfortable wearing the traditional African garb. If you ask me, the outfit was a vast improvement from her usual flip flops and ill-fitting leggings.
During the party, they sit Michael’s mother down to break the news. Angela tells her half the truth: she can carry a baby. She leaves out the part that she will more than likely have to use someone else’s egg and she has zero prospects. Oh, Angela… Mama Michael will be telling her son to run from Angela into the arms of a younger fertile woman, when she finds out.
