Remember on Real Housewives of Atlanta when model Cynthia Bailey walked down the aisle under a creepy canopy of dinosaur bones to wed Peter Thomas? Cynthia’s silver-gray dress didn’t exactly spell joyful bride. Cynthia’s family was not supportive of Cynthia marrying Peter, and the wedding was tense.
After 6 years of marriage that was punctuated by financial issues and cheating rumors, Cynthia pulled the plug on their shaky union in 2016. Peter may not have wanted the divorce, but it was obviously for the best.
Cynthia and sportscaster Mike Hill made their relationship Instagram official on August 21, 2018. Mike posted a selfie with Cynthia, and wrote, “If you appreciate HER be man enough to admit it. @cynthiabailey10. Thanks for making this trip and my life special.” Cynthia responded, “Your life was already special baby. Now I just get to be in it with you #GodsPlan #CHill.” Aww…how sweet! I do love their “CHill” hashtag
While Cynthia was reluctant to sashay down the aisle with Peter, she is more than ready to take the plunge with Mike. Cynthia appeared on The Real, and she got real about predicting her future with Mike. “Well, I want to marry this man. I love this man. We have time,” Cynthia said. “When Mike is ready and when God is ready, that’s when we will get married. However, I do predict that Mike and God will be ready sometime next year. Praise God!”

On July 26th, Mike popped the question at the grand opening of The Bailey WineCellar. Spoiler alert–Cynthia said “Yes!” Of course, RHOA viewers will get to see the engagement play out on the show. Not even NeNe Leakes and her theory that Cynthia was getting engaged to manufacture a storyline for the show could dampen the couple’s spirits.
In fact, Cynthia seems to be living her best life–ever. And brace yourselves, dear readers, because Cynthia is about to spill the tea. HollywoodLife spoke with Cynthia at the Cynthia Bailey x Genlux Magazine Cover Release Party, and the model shared her secrets for looking so youthful. “Honey, I am in love, and I’m having lots of sex. This glow is not from the highlighter, honey,” Cynthia shared. Good for you, Cynthia!

Cynthia also revealed how the wedding planning is going so far. “We are in the beginning stages. The date is 2020, which is basically 10-10-20, which I’m obsessed with my date. Apparently, a lot of people are as well. It’s a pretty popular date, so I have to find a location,” Cynthia explained. “I can’t tell you where it’s going to be at yet, can’t tell you a whole lot, but I’m actually starting to plan everything.” But Cynthia does confirm one important detail—the nuptials will be filmed by Bravo cameras. “It will be televised,” Cynthia stated.
The couple first met on Steve Harvey’s talk show Steve in April of 2018. Mike was one of three bachelors presented to Cynthia, and she selected him. It seems like Cynthia made the right choice for her. Let’s just hope that she picks an elegant, and romantic, venue for this wedding.
