It sounds like some of the tension last season between Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Margaret Josephs and Jennifer Aydin is still lingering. Margaret pointed out Jennifer’s obnoxious behavior while the group was staying with Margaret’s friend Polly in Oklahoma. Does anyone care that Jennifer has a million bathrooms at her posh house in Jersey? Or that the sunsets are more spectacular at her house?
At a whinery winery, Jennifer told Margaret, “I can’t relate to people who have affairs with married people.” That was obviously a slam because Margaret met her current husband, Joe Benigno, while she was married to Jan Josephs.
When the Jersey Housewives headed to Cabo, the drama followed. When Jennifer insulted the necklace that the rest of the ladies bought for Teresa Giudice, Margaret hit back. She told Jennifer, “Your lips look like a monkey’s asshole.” At least Margaret’s insults are creative!
The infamous Cabo dinner where wine (and glasses) were flying divided the group into two factions, with Margaret and Jennifer on opposing sides. Shocker! And it was at Jennifer and her husband Bill Aydin’s sixteenth anniversary party where Margaret pushed Danielle Staub’s then-husband, Marty Caffrey, into the pool. I’ll bet that Marty regrets insulting Margaret now.

A trailer for Season 10 of RHONJ showed a big argument between Jennifer and Margaret at a dinner table. Seriously–can the Jersey ladies ever eat in peace? Apparently not. Margaret told Jennifer, “The only achievement you’ve ever had is marrying someone rich!”
In an interview with toofab, Margaret shared why she and Jennifer keep butting heads. “I feel like Jennifer and I are always…we don’t always see eye-to-eye. I always look at myself as just…I’ve been through a lot more than Jennifer. I’m older, I’ve raised my children, I’ve done a lot more than her,” Margaret explained. “She’s at a different part in her life. I think I come from a different view and perspective, so we don’t always see eye-to-eye. We can recover from things, but I look at her as like a younger, annoying sister sometimes that I yell at.”

One topic that is dividing the two Housewives is how Margaret met Joe while still married to Jan. Margaret is refreshingly honest about how her relationship with Joe began. She has even managed to stay “extremely close” with her ex-husband.
But Margaret really doesn’t care about Jennifer’s view. “I just think no one has lived or walked in my shoes, I think it’s ridiculous. I think Joe and I have proven the test of time that we were meant to be together,” the entrepreneur said. “We happen to have a very strong, happy marriage… People could have a DWI and be judged less, where they could possible kill an entire family, and they would rather judge someone who cheated on someone,” Margaret stated. “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous, I think it’s nonsense and I actually find it completely naive.”

Margaret certainly owns how her relationship with Joe began, and never denied it or tried to hide the truth. But let’s face it–if the Housewives weren’t judgmental, there wouldn’t be much for the ladies to talk about. And that would be a real snooze-fest to watch.
