One of the hottest fights on last season’s Real Housewives of New Jersey was between Margaret Josephs and the infamous Danielle Staub, who we just can’t seem to get rid of. While faithful viewers sat painstakingly through all of Danielle’s tantrums wedding planning, already knowing full well that her marriage wouldn’t last longer than the chicken in their freezer, Margaret was the one who took the brunt of the abuse from the Bridezilla. Things got so tense, the season finale ended with Danielle’s groom, Marty Caffrey, in the pool courtesy of none other than Marge and her husband. “Your husband’s in the pool”, she famously said on her way out.
Yes, Housewife riffs are repaired once things cool down in the offseason. However, this feud has only heated up. We can see this in the upcoming previews for the current season. Champagne is thrown, hair is pulled. It’s what Housewife dreams are made of.
One possible reason for the escalation could have Danielle’s recent claims that Margaret is actually the one who broke up her marriage. Never being one to back down, the pigtailed entrepreneur responded in an interview with toofab, saying, “I can’t be the cause of anyone’s divorce, but that she could not even take responsibility for that just shows her mental state. I’ll leave it at that. I just find it so entertaining.”
Margaret continued, “Obviously, I’m psychic because they did file for divorce eight weeks after getting married,” she added. “I always feel vindicated when I’m right.” Yes, Marge was right but in fairness, I think anyone watching could predict that train wreck of a marriage wouldn’t last long.

Regarding Marty, Marge went on to say, “I actually felt sorry for Marty because — and this is all public information — she publicly trashed his family, filed a restraining order on him, accused him of abuse, all those things,” she went on.
“So I said to him, ‘After she has publicly trashed your children, your family, accused you of heinous acts, I would not want you to go back to her. I think that you’d be very sorry to do something like that and humiliate yourself one more time and be made an ass out of.’” Yikes!
Margaret laughed off her supposed role in breaking up the doomed union by going on to say she thinks Marty simply “saw her true colors. Love is blind. After they got married, she was probably like, ‘Okay, all bets are off!’ And that was it. He saw the real Danielle. The woman has been engaged 20 times at this point, and she only [got married] three times. Her average is not too good, if you know what I’m saying.” Yes, we certainly do.

As for Danielle and Marty, incidents at the couple’s home prompted them both to file temporary restraining orders against each other, Danielle accused Marty of “acts of extreme cruelty”, which included recording acts of intimacy without her knowledge, and emotional and verbal abuse toward her two daughters. Marty denied the claims and said, “This is simply Danielle Staub trying to take people out like she has in her past. But, it’s not going to work this time.” Sounds like Margaret isn’t the only one tired of Danielle’s antics.
It doesn’t seem like there is hope for any marriage or friendship reconciliations in Danielle’s future. Marge finished up by saying that she and Danielle “will never be friends again. I always say that ship has sailed and sunk.”
