Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12 is just getting started, and I like what I am seeing so far. NeNe Leakes has been missing for the first two episodes, but she is about to make her glorious return.
Kenya Moore also made a glorious return, twirling back onto the franchise and snagging her peach after sitting out Season 11. NeNe wasn’t happy about this turn of events. In fact, NeNe destroyed her long-time friendship with Cynthia Bailey because Cynthia invited Kenya to her launch event.
There is also plenty of drama between Kenya and Marlo Hampton, who is NeNe’s only remaining always loyal friend. In July, Kenya was tossed out of Marlo’s wig launch party for handing out gift bags of Moore Hair Care products. Now that was ballsy.
In an interview with US Weekly, Kenya commented on the sorry state of the current RHOA cast. “I’m just kind of bored with it. Yeah. I think we need something new. I think we need Housewives or friends of the show that brings something new and we’ve seen her for eight or nine seasons,” Kenya said. “I’m kind of just over it.” Marlo has been appearing on the reality series since Season 4.

Marlo spoke to toofab about Kenya’s upcoming divorce from her husband, Marc Daly. In a video clip, when asked about the theory that the marriage was a sham, Marlo didn’t hesitate. “Whenever it comes to Kenya, she always has different tricks in the bag. So you never know what you’re gonna get when it comes to Mrs. Moore. I’m 50-50 with it,” Marlo said. Ouch!
“I’m just sorry to hear about her and her husband are getting a divorce. I mean, I feel that’s awful because they do have a beautiful baby on the other end,” Marlo shared. ”But you know, shit happens, right?”

As for NeNe and Kenya salvaging their relationship? Marlo doubts it. “It’s not even that it’s too late, it’s just that they don’t need to bury hatchets. Some people are awful, and they just won’t ever change,” Marlo said. So how does Marlo feel about Kenya’s return? Marlo responded that she “didn’t feel any kind of way” about it.
When asked by the reporter why Kenya and Marlo aren’t friends, Marlo became philosophical. “You know what? I thought we had a lot in common ’cause we’re both Aquarius,” Marlo replied.

The one thing that Marlo will not entertain is the thought that both she and Kenya have great style. “Uh! No! No. You saying NeNe and I have a lot in common with fashion? I know you did not say Kenya and I have a lot in common,” Marlo exclaimed. “No. Kenya just started buying labels, sweetie, in the last two years, okay? She’s not that good with fashion.” There we have another shade grenade from Marlo. How long is Marlo going to remain peach-less?
