90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance left me wondering why any of these couples are together. Every season we  route for at least one couple. At this point, I am finding it hard to see any real contenders for a long-lasting relationship. I hate to say it, but every 90 Day Fiance couple seems doomed for different reasons.

Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester struggle with communication while apart. Juliana Custodio wants independence in her relationship with Michael Jessen. Religious beliefs divide Mike and Natalie. Mursel Mistanoglu makes an important decision about Anna Campisi  and his family. Robert questions his relationship after a wild night. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance recap!

Mike, 34 (Seguim, Washington) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Natalie is still in the middle of her baby fever-induced emotional breakdown. She doesn’t want the nonexistent child, that Mike doesn’t even want at this point, to be confused about his religion. WTH! Umm… Natalie, you look crazy right now. Mike told you from the beginning he didn’t believe in God and wasn’t ready for children.  Yet these two continued to pursue a relationship. Why? Did she think she was just going to change him overnight? Mother Natalie is even upset. She can’t bear to see all of her hopes and dreams for daughter slipping through their fingers.

Natalie finally calms down enough after her tantrum to realize that Michael has left. He has to go to a bar and have several beers just to return back to the house.

They don’t even have a visa yet and she is freaking out about things she was told from the beginning. Mike finally returns and wants to talk about the crazy that happened earlier. He feels like he was attacked and made to feel like a bad person for his beliefs. Natalie seems much calmer and is suddenly open to compromise. I guess her mother warned her she was ruining her chance for a visa and a husband. Ugh… This relationship is doomed. There are too many fundamental differences between these two. Mike admits that the reason he isn’t ready for a baby is because of debt. He wants to be able to take care of his family financially.

Michael, 41 (Greenwich, Connecticut) and Juliana, 23 (Brazil)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Michael takes the kids and Juliana rock climbing. It’s clearly an effort to distract her from the fact that she is broke and totally dependent on him. His plan fails miserably when Juliana reminds him of when he abandoned her in the past and the prenup.

The word “independent” seems to anger Michael as he tries to reassure Juliana he will take care of her. In a shocking twist, Michael decides to not move forward with the prenup. He wants to prove their relationship isn’t a business transaction. Not sure this is the smartest idea. I am not totally buying the little miss innocent act. This woman isn’t a fool, she has managed to travel all over the world despite her age and money. Cue the ex-wife to go crazy and put a monkey wrench in Juliana’s newfound luck in 5…4…3…2…1.

Angela, 53 (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael, 29 (Nigeria)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Angela screams in excitement as she accepts a video call from Michael. Her happiness is quickly squelched when she finds out Michael has been denied for his visa. Michael sobs uncontrollably as he realizes all of his I love America gear will be useless in Nigeria. Angela vows to find a loop hole to get her man into the country. It’s probably a blessing in disguise, Michael has no idea he is going to be a maid and glorified babysitter.

Michael meets with his friends to discuss being denied for his visa. I am sure this will be a problem when Angela find out, she hates his friends.  Things go left quickly when his friends start to reveal things they don’t like about Angela. One very honest friend brazenly tells him that he thinks Angela is trashy. I’m sorry, he isn’t lying. The woman has thrown drinks on his friends, screamed at them in public and insulted them on numerous occasions. Michael gets so upset he knocks a drink out of his friend’s hand before storming off.  Sigh!

I don’t know if Michael is a glutton for punishment or just sold his soul to the devil for a visa. I have told this man to run for over a year, yet he just keeps coming back. One of his calmer friends chases him down the street and asks him to return to the group. When Michael returns he reveals although he was denied the visa, he still loves his woman.

Robert, 41 (Winter Park, Florida) and Anny, 30 (Dominican Republic)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Anny is still upset about the apartment, but is easily won over by a cake on her birthday. She decides she wants to celebrate her born day at the strip club, much to Robert’s dismay. At the club she is having a great time, but Robert is giving her the side eye. The next morning, Robert confronts Anny about their visit to the strip club. He is extremely upset that she enjoyed getting a lap dance and feels it’s unbecoming of a mother figure. When he asks Anny does she like women, she admits she would be open to a threesome. Robert is infuriated and questions whether Anny has the qualities he is looking for in a woman. I don’t know how this is going to work. It seems like these two couldn’t be further apart in what they are looking for in a relationship.

Tania, 29 (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin, 29 (South Africa)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Syngin is missing Tania terribly while she is off living her best life in Costa Rica. Sigh! I feel so sorry Syngin.  Tania is making little to no effort to communicate with Syngin while out of the country for 30 days. His only friend is Tania’s mom who is an even scarier version of Tania. This woman basically told him not to touch her food or alcohol, when she isn’t home. Wow, talk about hospitality! I don’t think I could make it living in a shed AND being the house boy to a demanding mother in law.

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Tania acts like she is single and not engaged to a man she left in a shed at her mother’s house. While Tania is planning a night out with the girls, Syngin has a night planned with Tania’s sister and baby. Tania doesn’t even make the effort to spend any quality time talking to him. He has no friends, job and has left everything he knows. I understand Tania wants to enjoy a new experience, but she comes off as very selfish and inconsiderate. I hope Syngin is realizing these are some pretty large red flags. Her roommates in Costa Rica are advising her to do things, I am sure they wouldn’t do if they were in the same situation. . I don’t think it’s unreasonable to talk to your man while out of town and let him know you made it home safely.

Anna, 38 (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Mursel, 38 (Turkey)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Mursel is forced to finally tell his family that Anna has three children. Much to his surprise, his parents admit they never liked or approved of her. They ask him to come home immediately and resume his old life with a Turkish woman. Mursel tells a crying Anna he intends to leave as his parents have requested. SMH…. Anna, this is for the best. His family heavily influences his decisions and he doesn’t like to have difficult conversations. What is it that you like about this man?

Blake, 29 (Los Angeles, California) and Jasmin, 27 (Finland)

90 Day Fiance Recap: Judgement Day

Jasmin and Blake double date with his good friends. Per usual, Jasmin makes little to no effort to engage in any real conversation. She does reveal that she doesn’t want a career, but intends to be a stay at home mom. I highly doubt that Blake is in a position to fully take care of Jasmin and a child without any financial help at this point. His friends, like most people with eyes can see the weird vibe that comes from Jasmin. They question whether she would cause a rift within their friend group. I can already see that a mile away. Jasmin has made it clear on more than one occasion she doesn’t care to get to know Blake’s friends or family.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK NATALIE CAN GET OVER HER AND MIKE’S RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES? SHOULD MICHAEL AND JULIANA GET A PRENUP? WAS MICHAEL’S FRIEND WRONG TO CALL ANGELA TRASHY? DID ROBERT OVERREACT ABOUT ANNY WANTING TO GO TO THE STRIP CLUB? IS TANIA SELFISH OR DOES SYNGIN EXPECT TOO MUCH? SHOULD ANNA LET MURSEL GO?
