Carole Radziwill Says She “Would Not Return” To Real Housewives Of New York City Despite Bethenny Frankel’s Exit

After six seasons on The Real Housewives of New York City, Carole Radziwill exited the show at the conclusion of Season 10 on the heels of a friendship-ending feud with BFF Bethenny Frankel.

However, following Queen B’s last-minute departure from the series ahead of filming for Season 12, many fans began to wonder if there was now an opening for Carole to get her golden apple back. In a new interview, RHONY‘s resident Writer Girl opened up about her potential return to the series and whether her reasons have anything to do with Bethenny.

No, I would not return,” the RHONY alum told HollywoodLife at the launch of her new loungewear collaboration with Smash + Tess. “There’s women on the show that I still have a genuine connection with, who I respect and admire, but I would not go back on the show. It’s not something I would ever consider doing again, because it just feels like there’s really not more to explore there for me.”

While Carole didn’t mention her former Skinnygirl BFF by name, she still remains friends with several other of her former castmates, including Ramona Singer and Dorinda Medley — the latter of whom was on hand at the Smash + Tess launch to show her support alongside Carole’s other bestie during her tenure on the show, Heather Thomson. Nowadays, the award-winning journalist (compare three Emmys and a Peabody to your resume, B) is more focused on working in TV far from the realm of reality. “I’m open to doing scripted television shows based on my experiences. So that’s sort of my interest and other projects that are not reality projects, or scripted television projects,” the former RHONY star said. (Her 2014 novel The Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating remains in development as a future series.)

“I think that’s the direction in which my life is taking me,” Carole continued about the decision. “And, you know what they say in Hollywood, ‘Ride the horse in the direction it’s going,’ and the horse is definitely not going towards the reality show.”
