Garcelle Beauvais Plans To Avoid Social Media Comments When Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Starts

Being a Real Housewife comes with tons of perks. First and foremost, there’s the exposure. So many Real Housewives have launched businesses and reinvigorated their existing careers thanks to the built-in fanbase with this franchise. Or at the very least, a lot of them share sponsored posts on Instagram to secure some extra cash.

Still, there are a lot of drawbacks to this life. Of course, there’s the drama of filming the show. And then reliving that drama by watching the episodes. That sure has to sting. But there’s also the haters in the audience. There are a lot of passionate Real Housewives fans, and they’re not always on your side. I am sure the Housewives’ social media mentions are blowing up all day every day. Sure, some people have kind, supportive remarks, but there are also a lot of haters out there. And this is something Garcelle Beauvais will have to get used to once Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns for Season 10.

In an interview with HollywoodLife, Garcelle was asked about her strategy to handle media attention. She told the website, “I don’t know. I’m going to try to get tough skin. Lisa Rinna gave me a good tip. She goes, ‘You know, it’s one thing to film the show. But then when it airs and the world gets to weigh in, it’s a whole other thing.’ So I’m trying to get tough skin.” I don’t know if I would call that a “tip.” It’s more of a well-known fact. The thin-skinned Housewives don’t last long. And if they do, it’s painful to watch.

Garcelle also revealed, “I may not read comments on Instagram and Twitter. That’s what I’m going to try to do.” If she actually has the willpower to do that, it’s probably the best call. The fans on this show are so avid, but so are the critics.

Still, it’s gonna be impossible to avoid social media comments altogether. Even if she does manage to do this on her own time, Andy Cohen always reads questions and comments from Twitter on Watch What Happens Live and the reunion episodes.
