Even though NeNe Leakes denied spitting on Kenya Moore, we all know she went for it, as evidenced in the mid-season trailer for Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12. I would love to know how NeNe went from (essentially) not filming this show to getting this heated in some conversation with Kenya. I’m not condoning her behavior, but I cannot wait to watch this play out.
Then again, the last time NeNe actually appeared on screen was when she nearly got physical with Kenya in a Toronto hotel room. Maybe the spit isn’t too far of a leap from that moment.
Kenya thinks that NeNe spit on her for the sake of the show. Or at least that’s the theory she shared in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. Kenya began, “She said I was lying, she used the word I was actually lying, she said lying. And it proves I said exactly what I said, it was the truth. You can’t lie if it’s on video.” Exactly. Shouldn’t NeNe know this by now? She is the OG, after all.
Kenya continued, “How do we get to that point? That is my question. You’re 50-something years old and we’re on a television show and you get to the point where you’re spitting food at someone? She spat food at me, she attempted to actually hock up spit on me. and it’s just like, what? Who does that? You have children, you have grandchildren — you are a grandmother — and this is the example that you’re setting?” Yes, it is. Apparently.

Ultimately Kenya declared, “She’s fighting to stay on the show.”
Well, if that was the case, then NeNe’s instincts were right about her peach being in danger. NeNe wasn’t in the first two episodes of the show. After she finally appeared, she ranted about getting such little screentime. And after that Toronto hotel room fight, it’s easy to forget that NeNe is a cast member. Well, except for when Kenya talks shit about NeNe in the press because that happens often.
