Here we go again with Jennifer Aydin. It’s hard to read about any gossip coming out of this season’s Real Housewives of New Jersey that doesn’t involve Jennifer. She’s bringing so much drama to the show. I’m having a hard time keeping up with all of her shenanigans. Isn’t that the whole point of Housewives though? That’s an obviously rhetorical question because we all know the answer is a resounding YES.
Jennifer has made no secret of who she is (at least I think) when it comes to the show. She’s shown us her extended family and roots back in Turkey. She let us in on what her home life is like, which heavily features chasing after the needs of five children.
This is probably why recent comments from Margaret Josephs about her stay-at-home mom gig really rubbed her the wrong way. So what happened? Margaret has been throwing shade at Jennifer about her style as a mother, saying she uses nannies to help her with her children and even going as far to say that she doesn’t have a “job outside of the home”. That’s technically true. Still, show me one stay-at-home mom that doesn’t work her exhausted little butt off. Speaking from experience, folks.
Jennifer was not amused, telling Us Weekly, “She just sees a small glimpse of what she knows to be true right now. It wasn’t always like this. I raised four kids. I didn’t have a nanny, which I only have one nanny.”

As for the nanny, Jennifer says she helps with the kids. But, Jennifer is also “tending to the kids.” Of course she is – there are only so many kids one person can handle. So I have no doubt it’s a team effort.
Despite her lavish lifestyle now, Jennifer maintains that she’s paid her dues, explaining, “I lived in Michigan for two years. I couldn’t afford a nanny. I painted my own apartment. I caulked my own bathroom. I’ve paid my dues,” she added.

Jennifer shared, “When I had the fourth kid and we moved to Jersey, and I realized the school district we lived in didn’t have a bus system, I was having a panic attack thinking that I have to take my kids out of the car in the winter just to walk my kid into class and to pick him up. So, Bill was like, ‘Hire help,’ but we really couldn’t afford much. So, actually the woman that I originally hired is still with me to this day.”
While I don’t think Jennifer has to explain the validity of her parenting style. She notes that she’s “extremely involved” with the kids, despite what her RHONJ cast mates might think.“If you ever see my kids with me, they’re attached to me at the hip. That doesn’t come from not paying attention to them,” she concluded. “I’m a very hands on mom.”
