It is surprising/not surprising that LeeAnne Locken is done with Real Housewives of Dallas. After making multiple remarks about Mexicans last season, it seemed like the writing was on the wall. Still, LeeAnne was Real Housewives of Dallas. Almost every (interesting) storyline started or ended with LeeAnne. Then again, it would be almost impossible for the show to move forward in the wake of the racially charged scandal.
At this moment, it hasn’t been confirmed if LeeAnne actually walked away from the reality TV series (which is doubtful) or if the network fired her. No shade, but it’s fair to assume it’s the latter since almost no one would give up the exposure and paycheck that come with the Real Housewives platform. Not only that, but Andy Cohen just seemed so tired of her during the Season 4 RHOD reunion episodes and he even made some remarks during his own latenight talk show, Watch What Happens Live.
LeeAnne broke the news during an exclusive interview with People. LeeAnne began, “The last four years have been a trolley-slapping good time but after much consideration, I have made the personal decision to step away from RHOD.”
The OG cast member continued, “Getting to share my wedding with the viewers last year brought me tremendous joy, however, the season was very personally challenging for me. I am looking forward to stepping away from the cameras and spending quality time with my husband and friends, traveling, but most importantly, getting back to philanthropy, which was my main reason for joining the show.”
