Ramona Singer Real Housewives of New York city RHONY

Ramona Singer Has Recovered From Lyme Disease

She may be polarizing, but there is no denying that Ramona Singer is a staple figure on the Real Housewives of New York. She really does try her best to live the most authentic version of her life. The right delivery isn’t always there… but Ramona means well most of the time.

These days even her castmates are quick to accept and forgive her. If only because there is no changing her ways. The inescapable adoration for Ramona’s erratic behavior brought on sadness when we found out she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease earlier this year. Now, Ramona has some good news to share.

Ramona spoke with Daily Mail on her current health. “We have fabulous news,” Ramona shared. “My Lyme is gone. I don’t have chronic Lyme, my immune system is strong again.”

Many are familiar with former real housewife of Beverly Hills Yolanda Hadid’s Lyme disease struggle. Which was, in fact, not Munchausen by proxy, as we saw play out on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Real Housewives of New York viewers get two-fold relief. That the star can get back on the Ramona Coaster. And that we won’t have to see another franchise with a never-ending Lyme disease storyline.

In the current age of stars sharing updates from home, Ramona is holed up in Boca Rotan with ex-husband Mario Singer and their daughter Avery Singer. She added, “I can drink my wine again, which is very important when you’re quarantining.” I think we can all agree with that.

“I feel strong and I’m not tired, and that’s the best thing. I mean, I love having my energy,” she divulged. “I’m back to walking now two miles a day. I can run a mile plus I can do a class, plus I can lift my weights.”

Ramona also shared that she wants to help put together legislation for mandatory Lyme disease testing after the pandemic is over. “You may feel good and look good on the outside but you don’t know what’s simmering on the inside.”

We’re happy she can get back on the Ramona Coaster once the world opens back up. She ended her video call with Daily Mail tying back to last night’s episode and newcomer Leah McSweeney’s tiki torch uproar, “I thought it was disrespectful, and it really made me very, very upset with Leah. I mean really upset,” Ramona said. “It’s my home, it’s my pride and joy, and they trashed it.” Sounds like she is back to her normal self for sure.
