It feels like forever since Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on my screen. But if I’m being truthful, I felt like last season was kind of lackluster. Yes, Joe Giudice ran out of appeals and had to go back to Italy. This was a central point of the show, ending the season with Teresa Giudice and the girls visiting.
But deportation aside, not much happened really. Jennifer Aydin was her usual extra self. And that meant that we spent the majority of the season reviewing her fight with Jackie Goldschneider over a damn pizza party. Sorry if I’m not impressed by that story line. Nor am I impressed by the revelation that Jennifer got plastic surgery. She’s married to a surgeon, she has five kids. I would be doing the same. Also, she looks amazing either way. But speaking of surgery….
Apparently Jennifer isn’t the only one going under the knife these days. Us Weekly reports that Dolores Catania had a tummy tuck and lipo during a RHONJ production break amid the pandemic.
Dolores said, “I’ve been up and down with my weight and my elasticity on my skin has gotten shot and well, I’m not going to kill myself over this because it is what it is, but I eat McDonald’s, I didn’t work out for a long time and whatever. … I looked at his Instagram and I almost fell off my couch. It was insane. His before and afters are like nothing I’ve ever seen almost to the fact I thought it was fake!” Dolores went for her consultation about a month ago, when the doctor’s office was allowed to safely open.

But she admits that recovery hasn’t been the easiest. “I want to say, ‘Oh my God, go get it,’ because I want everybody to go to this guy because he’s so good,” she told said. “Anybody whose doing this should go to him, even though it was a four-hour drive for me. It’s not easy and I’m tough. It’s not my first rodeo with plastic surgery, but this one was a little rough.”
Dolores adds that she got lipo on the same day. “He did a little fat transfer. So, he took some lipo, he did my back and then he took some of the fat from my back and he made my butt rounder,” she explains.

But one little snafu. While Dolores is excited about her results, she admits that her boyfriend, David Principe, isn’t happy with her. “Dr. David wants to break up with me because I lied to him about doing this. He is so not into elective procedures. He’s just so against it. And she neglected to tell him about it until the last minute.
She says, “The night before I was leaving, I told him I’m going to Virginia tomorrow. He goes, ‘Oh, for work?’ I said, ‘No, for a tummy tuck.’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, right.’ I drove, I was gone the next morning.” Oops!

Ok, but really, does why would she have to clear this with her boyfriend? This is the man that barely makes time for her. I understand that respect is key in a relationship but it’s HER money and HER body. We all know Dolores is one tough cookie though, so I’m not surprised she decided to do it whether he was on board or not. And if she’s happy with the results, nothing else matters.
