90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was filled with hilarious drama. I doubt anyone experiencing it found it funny at the time, but I did! Yes, I am petty! Literally, almost every couple had a completely embarrassing scene that left me just shaking my head. One couple may have realized they aren’t meant to be together forever.

Larissa Dos Santos Lima has a date with a mystery man. Angela Deem receives a terrifying surprise on her first day in Nigeria. Colt Johnson‘s mother meets his girlfriend, Jess in Brazil. Karine Staehle wonders should she return to Brazil. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After recap!

Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie ex-wife Larissa (Brazil)

When we last saw Larissa she was nervously entering the courthouse to find out her fate. The good news is she wasn’t deported or arrested. The bad news is she will continue to live in fear of those things until she receives her green card. As if her immigration status isn’t enough to worry about, Larissa sets her sights on getting a man. She meets up with her ex-Eric Nichols in hopes of working things out. Isn’t this the same guy she broke up with via text?

Well, he definitely hasn’t forgotten it. He reminds her of the rumors she spread and the police report filed against him. Eric, are you sure you want to deal with this drama again? She literally filed a police report because someone texts her saying she has a “cheesy butt.” If that doesn’t have “insane” written all over it, I don’t know what does. These two can have one another. As crazy as Larissa is, there is something odd about Eric as well.

Debbie Johnson and Colt are on their way to Brazil to meet Jess Caroline and her family. Debbie is worried about traveling abroad for the first time. Despite her fears, she isn’t going to let anything get in the way of ensuring Jess isn’t taking advantage of her man child. When Colt and Debbie arrive, she instantly becomes the third wheel. I don’t know why Jess continues to mention sex every second. Who talks about that when they first meet someone’s mother?

Debbie, never one to let anything get past her, believes Jess may be trying to get pregnant on purpose. Things get even weirder when the two start exhibiting some serious PDA.  Mama Colt becomes ill just watching them. Well, she isn’t alone; even I had to resist the urge to vomit. I don’t know why we have to be hit over the head with Colt’s sexual exploits every episode.

Once they arrive at the hotel, Debbie is completely shocked. She realizes that Colt has only booked one room for everyone. I’m sorry, but I can’t help but laugh. Although it’s a two closet bedroom suite, there is only a thin sliding door between them. What the hell was Colt thinking? Debbie claims she is tired, but it’s obvious she really is upset she will have to listen to those two having sex.

This trip is going to be quite interesting. When I say “interesting,” I mean horrible. If I were Debbie, I would have gone right back downstairs and got another room. There would have been no way in hell, I would be forced to endure those two having sex like rabid animals within earshot. Debbie is so angry. She yells at Jess and slams the door. Well, I’d say the trip is off to a great start so far.

Tania (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin (South Africa)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

It’s another day and another reason for Tania Maduro to nag her husband. Despite Syngin Colchester trying his best to make his injured wife happy, it’s still not enough. While out with a friend, Tania expresses her disappointment in her husband’s drinking. She cites him recently having a drink after failing to get a job as another example. She fails to mention the interview was at a bar and the owner offered him a few free drinks. I think most people would have indulged in a drink based on those circumstances. Maybe there is something that we haven’t seen, but Syngin only seemed mildly tipsy that night. Listening to her, you would think he was a raging drunk.

Syngin takes Tania to dinner in an attempt to ease some of their tension. Almost immediately, she begins berating him. He then expresses his hesitation in living in America permanently. Sigh! What the hell did these two talk about before they got married? Apparently, it wasn’t a home, what country to reside in or whether they were soul mates. I would think a couple in a long-distance relationship would have had many conversations about their future.

It’s instant karma watching Tania squirm while Syngin explains his hesitation about their relationship. I guess she wants to be the only one to express her discontent. Girl, you better get it together before you lose your man and all those life plans you keep creating alone.

Kalani (Orange County, CA) and Asuelu (Samoa)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa are in California to celebrate their son’s birthday. It’s only been a day and the trip has already fallen apart. Shortly after arriving, Asuelu packed his things and left. He didn’t return until later that night and has since locked himself in his room.  Kalani’s family is disturbed by Asuelu’s actions.

Her father can barely hold himself back after hearing his wife and daughter’s version of events. This is part of the problem. Kalani needs to stop telling her family every issue she has with her husband. At this point, Asuelu feels like he is alone while his wife has everyone’s support. Now don’t get me wrong, he is completely out of line for his comments about Kalani and her family duties being “easy.” But no man wants to feel like he has no real input in his marriage and family.

As people arrive for the party, Kalani has to explain why Asuelu is absent. She attempts to once again get him to emerge from the room with no luck. Kalani’s father gives Asuelu a lecture about excluding himself from his own son’s party. In a confessional interview, her father threatens to lay hands on him the next time.

Finally Asuelu comes outside and attempts to put on a good face for the sake of his son. After the party, Kalani expects an apology, but doesn’t receive one. Clearly, he just wants to sweep their argument under the rug. I hope Asuelu grows up, before he loses his family. Regardless I can’t feel too bad for Kalani. He acted like a preteen, before she chose to marry him. What did she expect?

Angela (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael (Nigeria)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

Angela is on her way to Nigeria to finally get married to the love of her life, Michael Ilesanmi. I still think he is much too nice for the likes of her, but he is an adult. If he wants to ruin his life, who am I, to stand in the way. Angela’s departure is bittersweet. She is experiencing guilt leaving behind her sick mother, but is excited to finally tie the knot.

Angela arrives to warm welcome from her fiancé, Michael. This time they have rented an apartment to experience living together. When they first arrive, Angela demands a softer bed, but likes the rest of the apartment. That is until she discovers their other roommate, the rat lying on the kitchen floor.

Even Michael didn’t want to pick up that huge rat to dispose of it. A soft bed may the least of her worries, if they continue to have “visitors”.

Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andrei (Moldova)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

It’s Elizabeth Potthast Castravet’s first full day in Moldova and there are already several issues. First, there is a language barrier and her husband is barely translating. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Andrei Castravet dares to insult her as a mother and a wife. Apparently, since she isn’t a traditional Moldovan wife she is lazy. This time she decided to give him a taste of her own medicine.

She reminds him that she is the breadwinner in their family and he doesn’t have a job.  That had to burn. It’s the truth that always stings the worst. Ironically, he is extremely offended and tells her she is lucky his parents didn’t understand her. Umm… what? Andrei is the epitome of a chauvinist pig. He has the nerve to judge his wife, but continues to live off of her family. Insert side eye.

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

Andrei takes Elizabeth out for a fun night out with his friends. This should be interesting. When she asks him to include her into the group’s conversation, he accuses her of being a feminist. I guess wanting to be included in a conversation is now called feminism. I would suspect most of the world would be considered a feminist, if we rely on Andrei’s definition.

Elizabeth believes his alpha male trait is in overdrive now that he is back in his home country. The night takes a surprising twist as it progresses. His friends are stunned that Andrei isn’t working outside of the home. He quickly explains his situation as the norm in America. Huh? Sorry sir, that isn’t the norm for the type of man you pretend to be on a daily basis.

Paul (Louisville, Kentucky) & Karine (Brazil)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

Not surprisingly, Karine is disappointed in Paul Staehle and his efforts, since they have been in America. She even refuses to attend dinner with him and her mother –in- law. When Paul arrives solo, his mother says “I wouldn’t have come if I knew Karine wasn’t coming.” LMAO! This woman really doesn’t want to be bothered with her own son. Who can blame her, Paul would drive anyone insane. After being free from him the past couple of years, why would she turn back now? He is a user and extremely disrespectful to his mother. Despite Paul’s attempts to use his baby as the reason he needs help, she still refuses him.  She reminds him that as a grown man he should make better decisions and plan ahead.

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel

The next stop on Paul’s tour of America is the grocery store. As exciting as that sounds, it doesn’t go well. Karine is agitated the entire time they are in the store. When Paul attempts to buy her an industrial sized box of pads on camera she almost walks out. Their next stop is house hunting. The first trailer looks like it should be condemned. I can’t believe that an agent would even take a woman holding a baby into that hell hole. When they leave, Karine is so upset she screams “you are not a good husband.” For some reason, she believed when they came to America they would live in a nice house, despite their finances. In Paul’s mind, his wife should be accustomed to meager dwellings. Karine is not having it!
