Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is picking up. This will hopefully be the week we transition away from that mom-shaming storyline about “hypocrite” Denise Richards and onto some interesting content courtesy of Brandi Glanville. Seriously, we need it! The only truly exciting visual last week was Kris Jenner, Kathy Hilton, and The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick sitting all bored on that couch at Kyle Richards’ black and white party.
While Lisa Rinna’s “conversation” with Camille Grammer made for some light entertainment, we need more. I don’t agree with Rinna ruining a decades long relationship with Denise for a TV show, but I do applaud her for going the extra mile for a scene. Whatever you might think about her, I don’t believe she’d force her daughters to appear on RHOBH.
Amelia Gray Hamlin, Rinna’s youngest daughter, was just accused by a sad fan of faking anorexia for a storyline. Amelia responded to the comment in an Instagram story, saying, “I seriously can’t believe I’m being accused of lying about my anorexia to get more ‘air time’ sorry but I’m forced to be on the housewives by my mom. Ask anyone, it’s the last thing I want to do.” The part of this comment people noticed was “I’m forced to be on the housewives by my mom.”
Would Rinna make her kids do things they don’t want to do? Of course. Would she force her daughter to talk about anorexia on the show? No. Did she want her daughters on the show so she could get them modeling careers like Yolanda Hadid did for hers? YES.

Now, Entertainment Tonight is reporting on stories from Amelia’s Instagram. She’s now responding to people’s remarks about being “forced” on the show by Rinna. Amelia shared, “CAN EVERYONE PLEASE CALM DOWN AND STOP!!! My mom is so so amazing. She ‘encouraged’ me to be on the show in my opinion.” She continued, “I was 12 and didn’t know what it was going to be like. I’m so glad that she encouraged me to do so. I’ve been able to touch so many souls with my story.”
As Entertainment Tonight reports, Amelia clarified this clarification, sharing, “I should have said ENCOURAGED NOT FORCED!!!! THAT WAS THE WRONG CHOICE OF WORDS. All I was trying to say was that I’m not just on this show for a f**king story line you guys chill.” It is ridiculous that a fan would make such an insensitive comment in the first place.

“Obviously it’s been six years. I could have stopped filming long ago,” Amelia informed her followers. “I haven’t ’cause I have a story to tell to HELP people and now I’ve become super close to all the women and I love them.” Here we have it – straight from the source’s mouth – Amelia is not forced to be on RHOBH. She actually chooses to be so she can share legitimate experiences. How odd considering it’s a “reality” show.

Let’s just do what Amelia is asking – and CHILL. But like, actually chill. Not “chill” in the Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave way.
