This season, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans have seen more of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin. She has utilized this platform to promote her clothing line and to open up about her struggles with an eating disorder.
While some viewers find Lisa and Amelia’s candid conversations to be compelling, there are some who aren’t that interested in the content. Furthermore, there are actually some trolls who had the nerve to accuse Amelia of pretending to have an eating disorder just to be on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
People reported that Amelia posted a screenshot of a particularly mean (and incredibly insensitive remark). Someone wrote, “Yeah so Amelia Gray lied about being anorexic on reality television. We really thought it would get her more air time. I’m upset. Denise ruined it.” WOW. That’s a really awful thing to say. No wonder Amelia clapped back.
She wrote “I usually don’t post these,” which makes me wonder how many similar messages she receives. Amelia admitted, “But this really got to me.”

She declared, “Lying about a mental illness is disgusting. Something I hope nobody would ever do.”
While there’s no doubt that this platform (and her parents’ fame and connections) helped propel Amelia’s career, she’s apparently not into being on the show. She explained, “I seriously can’t believe I’m being accused of lying about my anorexia to get more ‘air time’ sorry but I’m forced to be on the housewives by my mom. Ask anyone, it’s the last thing I want to do. I couldn’t care less about air time. So f*ck you.”

It’s really a shame that anyone accused her of lying about something so serious. Good for Amelia, shutting that troll down. No one should have to see something like that when she is legitimately struggling.
