When Dorinda Medley joined Real Housewives of New York City for season 7, she was an instant fan favorite. She already had a backstory with the rest of the cast members. She had some funny one-liners. Overall, she was very entertaining and very easy to like. So, what happened?
The woman we looked forward to seeing every week just became so miserable. Or at the very least she just projected misery. She went after Tinsley Mortimer this season, taking some very low jabs; i.e. when she offered up a turkey baster for Tinsley to conceive a child. Once Tins exited the show, Dorinda had some enjoyable moments, but she still brought the mood at some point during every episode. She just became so frustrating to watch. Soon enough we will be in the post-Dorinda era on Real Housewives of New York. That’s right: she’s out after this season.
Dorinda broke the news herself in an Instagram post. She began by quoting herself, of course, writing, “What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice…”
Then, she confirmed her exit, saying, “But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away.”

Dorinda said, “I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way.”
She wrote, “Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success.”

She concluded by quoting herself again, “Clip!”
