NeNe Leakes Deletes Instagram Account Amid Rumors That She Won’t Return To Real Housewives Of Atlanta; Cynthia Bailey Says She Hasn’t Seen NeNe While Shooting Upcoming Season

The last Real Housewives of Atlanta started with no sign of NeNe Leakes. Well, that’s not exactly accurate. Even though she didn’t appear in the first few episodes, she was the topic of conversation in almost every scene.

We know that’s because she was being difficult still in contract negotiations, which appears to be the case yet again. NeNe, her rep, and Bravo insisted that she wasn’t fired. However, that doesn’t mean she signed on to film the next season… which has already started filming. So, at the very least, it looks like history is repeating itself. It could also mean that NeNe did not work out a contract to her liking and she’s given up her peach.

Now, NeNe has deleted her Instagram account in her constant quest to seek attention. What does that mean? Clearly, she’s sending some sort of message. However, her Twitter account is still active.

On August 25, she posted, “Support Black Women, Protect Black Women! You have no idea what they’ve been thru or the WEIGHT they have carried on their backs silently for yearsssssssssss. Thank you! Bye.”

A couple days prior, NeNe tweeted, “I hav protected every1 for years and covered up things i shouldn’t have! I took the beating so others didn’t have too and no one has protected me or stood up for me. Y’all have gone silent and turned the other cheek. You are NOT exempted from getting this same treatment 1 day.”

She also retweeted a response to that tweet, which sure seems like a subtweet to me: “I feel you. When I went to my employer about biases & racism, those who knew & experienced these actions, stood silently. I thought for about 5 mins, ‘I wouldn’t make a difference, be heard or taken seriously’ . I realized, I did it for myself respect and dignity, not them!!!

In another tweet, she wrote, “It’s not about 1 black woman! It’s about supporting black periodt. I’m strong, I’m healthy and i will survive. Love y’all bye!”

Cynthia Bailey was asked about NeNe’s absence and, in response, she told Us Weekly, “I haven’t seen her. I know she’s dealing with some contract stuff. That’s not my business. I hope they work all that out.” So, how much filming has NeNe missed then?

Cynthia said, “I always will say, whether we’re besties or not, she’s great for the show.”

Cynthia added, “She’s been around … since the beginning of the show, and she’s good TV, and I hope they work through it. And, you know, Bravo’s always publicly said, ‘She always has a home here.’ They’ve always been supportive of whatever she wanted.”
