Heather Thomson Ramona Singer Real Housewives Of New York

Real Housewives Of New York Alum Heather Thomson Was Not Surprised, “Not Even A Little Bit,” By Demise Of Bethenny Frankel And Carole Radziwill’s Friendship

Holla! I will admit that I loved Heather Thomson when she joined Real Housewives of New York during Season 5. She was smart and quick to call anyone out on their bullsh*t. I loved seeing her friendship with fellow RHONY newbie Carole Radziwell blossom.

Viewers may recall watching Heather try to help co-star Sonja Morgan launch her toaster oven line. And who can forget Heather refusing to invite Ramona Singer to the cast trip to London? But after three seasons, Heather was tired of the fake drama and exited the series.

Carole and Bethenny Frankel became besties on RHONY. In fact, Bethenny announced in 2016 that, “Carole’s amazing. I would leave the show before I would leave Carole.” Damn! I’ll bet Bethenny regrets those words now.

Bethenny and Carole’s friendship would implode over the course of Season 10. I don’t think that RHONY fans ever found out exactly what destroyed the relationship between them. Was Bethenny threatened by Carole’s supposed friendship with Tinsley Mortimer? We know that Carole considered Bethenny “a mean girl.” There was also some drama about Carole’s much younger boyfriend, Adam Kenworthy.

And the duo’s vicious sparring during the reunion was difficult to watch. Carole even called out host Andy Cohen, accusing him of siding with Bethenny and being afraid of her. Yikes!

On September 10, Heather joined Andy and fellow guest Erin Andrews on Watch What Happens Live. In a video clip posted to the WWHL Twitter page, a fan asked if Heather was surprised by the demise of Bethenny and Carole’s friendship. Heather’s response was interesting.

“No. Not even a little bit,” Heather shared. “No–I saw that coming from, you know, the early… [you know], structure of that friendship. It just didn’t have a solid foundation.”

It seemed like an authentic friendship, not like Carole’s relationship with Tinsley. Carole downplayed her friendship with Tinsley and implied that it was part of a storyline.

After her toxic friendship with Bethenny was terminated, Carole decided to ditch RHONY. Bethenny, unwilling to let the war end, implied that Carole had been fired by Bravo. Shockingly, Carole disagreed with her ex-bestie over how she departed the franchise.

In 2018, Carole said in a statement, “After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best — journalism and producing. I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind.”

“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind,” Carole stated. “I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”
