Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way is becoming the lives of the not so young and restless. It seems like every time things move forward, there is always another challenge that presents itself. The drama is real on this episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way, no couple is safe.
Sumit has his day in court. Deavan Clegg suspects Jihoon Lee has been unfaithful. Yazan Abo Horira clashes with Brittany Banks. Armando Rubio and Kenneth Niedermeier experience challenges as a same sex couple in Mexico. Let’s get straight to the recap!
Deavan, 22 (Salt Lake City, Utah) & Jihoon, 29 (South Korea)
Deavan begins to suspect that Jihoon may have been unfaithful to her when she finds 100’s of pornographic images on his phone. Unbeknownst to him, she questions his friends about his recent behavior. Damn! How awkward. First it was his job and now it’s a group of his friends. If you are that suspicious that you have to check on everything your man does, maybe this isn’t the right relationship.

At dinner, Deavan confronts Jihoon about the naked pictures of women he has on his phone. Laughing, he admits to masturbating to the images while she is asleep. Well, at least he is honest! Although he admits to cheating on an ex, he claims that he has never cheated on his wife. He agrees to delete all the photos. He even goes as far as to offer to cut his penis, if he ever downloads them again. Now, now Jihoon, don’t write a check your crotch can’t cash.
Jenny, 60 (Palm Springs, California) & Sumit, 30 (India)
Sumit goes to court in hopes of finalizing his divorce. Jenny Slatten chooses not to attend for fear of seeing his in-laws and angering them. Sumit wants to marry Jenny soon after, if all goes well. Although his parents don’t support his relationship, they do support his divorce. His father has paid all of his fees of $20,000 with the help of loans, family and friends. After several hours, Sumit emerges victorious and excited to move on with his life.
Sumit speaks with his father after they leave court. Now that everything is done, his dad wants to know how he intends to repay him. Sumit has only been working a couple hours a day as a chef, but vows to return the money.

When he asks his father about marrying Jenny, he is met with opposition. His dad still doesn’t understand why he wants to marry a woman who is older than his parents. When he continues to plead his case, his dad threatens to stop a wedding, at any cost. I don’t know if his family will ever change their mind, but maybe returning that $20,000, will help soften them. Also, Jenny is going to have to find a way to become more independent in India, so Sumit can earn more money.
Brittany, 26 (Palm Beach, Florida) and Yazan, 24 (Jordan)
After being outcast by his family, Yazan is desperate to resolve things before Brittany arrives in Jordan. He asks his brother to speak with their father on his behalf. Yazan’s father is furious that his family name has been dishonored by his son dating a woman he considers to be pornographic. He even threatens to kill Yazan, if he marries Brittany. Wow! I feel so sad for Yazan. He has lost everything for a woman who clearly doesn’t care.
She knew his family was conservative and had an issue with her social media. She could have at least made her account private or just ended things if she was unwilling to assimilate to cultural norms in Jordan. I honestly think she played with this man’s life, only to be on national television.
Yazan’s brother reveals to him that their father intends to end his life, if he doesn’t end things with Brittany. He doesn’t understand why Yazan is so infatuated with a woman who continues to disrespect him with her antics. Yazan still has hope his fiancé will convert to Islam and change her ways. His brother, on the other hand, doesn’t believe the relationship is worth the risk. Sorry, Yazan, but I have to agree.

Brittany’s father is concerned about her safety, now that she is returning to Jordan. She was supposed to return with him, so that she could get married right away. But after her divorce, she feels it’s too soon to get remarried. She also tells her father, Yazan moved out to “be his own man.” Ummm… excuse me. Last time I checked, he was forced out of his family’s home and business. Her father points out that Yazan is sacrificing a lot and he may hold it against her in the future.
On the way to the airport, Brittany and Yazan are already fighting. Yazan claims that he crashed his car the day before; after she said that she didn’t want to marry him. He calls screaming because he feels she doesn’t understand all the sacrifices he has made to be with her. Frustrated, she hangs up on him and tells producers that she isn’t going to get on the flight. Sigh! Can they just break up already? This is so toxic it’s insane.
Tim, 34 (Dallas, Texas) and Melyza, 29 (Colombia)
Tim is preparing for his mother and his aunt to come to Columbia to visit. Melyza asks him not to tell his mother about her sleeping with another man. She feels it isn’t relevant because they were broken up at the time. She also doesn’t want to give her another reason to dislike her. That is ironic since she had no problem doing that to Tim with her family, once he arrived in Columbia. Apparently, there is bad blood between Melyza and Tim’s mom after she threatened to call the police on her during a heated fight while she was in the U.S.
Kenneth, 57 (St. Petersburg, Florida) and Armando 31, (Mexico)
Kenneth and Armando go apply for a marriage license. The application process is totally different for same sex marriages in Mexico. There have been challenges, since the union has become legal in 2015.

Sadly, once they arrive at the office their marriage is immediately denied. But they were given additional information on how they could still get married, if they go through additional hoops. While Armando is hopeful after speaking with the clerk, Kenneth is devastated by all of the challenges that may lie ahead.
Ariela, 28 (Princeton, New Jersey) and Biniyam, 29 (Ethiopia)
A week after storming out of the hospital, Ariela has decided to allow her son to be circumcised. But she admits she only agreed because Biniyam and her family pressured her. While outside the surgery room, she becomes extremely upset hearing her baby cry out in pain. Biniyam is worried for the future of their relationship. He feels like Ariela doesn’t have any confidence in him as a father. Ariela is a new mother and is still hormonal having just had her baby. Hopefully once things calm down, they will be able to work through their differences.
