During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina Kirschenheiter shared her hilarious commentary on Shannon Beador’s blatant jealousy of Elizabeth Lyn Vargas’ wealth awkwardness with newbie Elizabeth Lyn Vargas.
Shannon’s facial expressions when Elizabeth showed off the expensive features of her home, just said it all. And then, when the three women sat down for lunch, there were labels left behind on the food. Some mused that Elizabeth left those on to show off how much she paid, which is kind of absurd since it’s from a supermarket deli. It’s not as if she has caviar and escargot on the table.
The Instagram Account Two Judgey Girls shared a screenshot of Elizabeth’s lunch spread, writing, “A bright spot in a dark RHOC was the deli stickers on the serving bowls.” They also included some funny hashtags: “#honestlythisideawaskindofsmart #wasshetryingtobragaboutspending5dollarsonbroccolislaw #orwasshetryingtoshowtheingredientsforherguests #shannondoesntlikehowrichelizabethis #butiselizabethactuallyrich.”
Aside from responding with a bunch of laughing emojis, Elizabeth explained, “This was out of pure consideration for Shannon! I heard she was allergic to some things and loved to eat healthy. I thought I would make sure I showed her what she was eating so she didn’t have to worry about it!” That sounds considerate to me.

Even so, Elizabeth did see the humor in the situation. She acknowledged, “But yes… It did come across very funny. I see now why people are laughing so much.” I enjoy a self-deprecating Housewife.
In another comment, Elizabeth said, “Also, I don’t take the price tags off anything. There is no need to… Most people either return things or regift. If you take the tags off they can’t do either LOL So not cutting the price off the food was simply a habit.” How logical. I also enjoy a logical Housewife (because it’s such rarity).

Emily Simpson responded to the post with some laughing face emojis along with a face palm emoji. Kelly Dodd commented, “That’s hilarious.” Yes, it is. And it’s also considerate. I’m Team Elizabeth on this one. Sorry, Shannon.
