Eboni K. Williams will join Real Housewives of New York. Eboni, who is a television host and attorney, is the first Black New York Housewife.
“I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife. Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before,” Eboni stated. Eboni has already confirmed that the issue of race will be addressed on the show.
Eboni is already tight with RHONY co-star Leah McSweeney. However, she’s having some trouble bonding with Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan. Shocker! We all know how much Ramona adores the newbies.
Of course, there were some openings on the franchise since two Housewives departed after Season 12. Tinsley Mortimer moved to Chicago to be with her boyfriend (and now fiancé) Scott Kluth.

Dorinda Medley spent last season bashing Tinsley for breathing everything. Dorinda accused Tinsley of being a bad Housewife because she supposedly wasn’t transparent enough. She also slammed Tinsley for secretly dating Scott.
But Dorinda went even further. When Tinsley announced that she was exiting RHONY, Dorinda stated, “I’ve got a turkey baster. Maybe try and have a baby.” That was horribly cruel, and rude. Especially since Tinsley expressed how much she wanted to have a child.

Dorinda shocked RHONY viewers when she “decided” to exit the show. But, that wasn’t exactly what happened.
Dorinda finally admitted that she was fired from the show, and that she didn’t see it coming. On RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel’s Just B podcast, Dorinda explained, “I was ready to go back. I was excited about going back. I was planning on going back, and I thought I would have a great year.”

Maybe if Dorinda didn’t lash out at everyone, she would be making it nice with them at in the Bezerkshires. I loved those crazy holiday visits.
According to People, Eboni discussed how Dorinda contacted her on the podcast RealiTea with Derek Z. Eboni said, “The most surprising reach-out I had was from Dorinda Medley. Dorinda actually slid in my DMs to just simply say congratulations. [She said,] ‘I think it is wonderful you’re being added to this cast. I hate that we won’t get to work together. But go get it,'” the attorney shared.

“I thought that was extremely classy,” she said. “I think I’ve always enjoyed Dorinda on this franchise,” Eboni remarked. “I’m a fan of the franchise. I’ve seen every episode, some of them twice. And I thought for her to say that was just really, really a classy move.”
I agree that Dorinda’s comments were classy. Additionally, Andy Cohen has said that he hopes this is “a pause” and that Dorinda might return to RHONY in the future. Maybe this is the first step in Dorinda’s journey back to the show.
