The latest episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City gave a lot of screen time to the husbands. After several episodes of setting the stage for marital issues in Jen Shah, Meredith Marks, and Lisa Barlow’s relationships, the men were cut free to share their true feelings. One thing is clear, these real husbands are all navigating relationships with wives that want to live a “modern” marriage.
It was a drama free episode. Maybe that’s because Jen and Mary Cosby where not within earshot. Jen also appeared more subdued and vulnerable. Was it being in the presence of only Meredith and Lisa? Coach Sharrieff Shah was back in town and is clearly a grounding presence to her. So the change in Jen’s demeanor could have been simply a product of that support and not a calculating effort.
But Whitney Rose does not think so. She tweeted some shade while watching Coach Shah praise Jen as “sweet” in this latest episode.
“Does anyone notice how some of the housewives behave differently when their husbands are around,” Whitney wrote.
Whitney could have just as easily been talking about Meredith, who reunited with husband Seth Marks after asking for space just one week prior. Social image is a forceful influence. There’s no telling what’s going on with Meredith, and her lack of authenticity on the matter has frustrated the other ladies.

But Jen publicly took the bait and made it about her when she responded to Whitney in an Instagram story.
The Instagram account Realhousewivesfranchise shared a screenshot of Jen’s response. “Why is someone always worried and talking about everyone else’s husband and marriage?” Jen retorted.
That’s an interesting statement coming from Jen. She had no problem drunkenly shouting about Mary’s marriage at Whitney’s 1920’s party. And what of all the speculation about Meredith and Seth?
The gossip that has been circulating within the group is going to come out in a big way next episode. And the reactive Jen Shah returns.
