I’m back with more news coming out of the Netflix hit, Bling Empire. Like I’ve previously mentioned, I’m totally obsessed. I’m also sad that I have no more episodes left to binge.
But now that the whole show has aired, I’ve been getting my fix on all the dramz through cast interviews. We’ve even gotten some updates on where everyone is. Some good, and some that make you want to roll your eyes really hard. But one of my favorite cast members is coming out with her side of the story from filming.
Christine Chiu was the extremely wealthy, extremely elegant star of the show. She’s now saying that she feels she was cast as the “bad guy” of the series. Christine recently spoke with CNN and was asked if being cast as a villain bothered her. She responded, “from the production perspective, it achieved the goal, right?”
Christine thinks that much of the hate is coming from her heated rivalry with the show’s seemingly cast matriarch, Anna Shay. She continued, “Because people were very vested in talking about this rivalry and people got a chuckle and a giggle and gas out of how petty rich people can be and like these games we play on each other. So from the entertainment value perspective, I think it was fabulous.”

So where do they stand after filming? Christine was under the impression that Anna has said in her own interviews that the two haven’t spoken. But Christine is denying that and said,”part of me wants to remind her that we have photos together.” She went on, “We went to dinner, I went to her birthday party. Remember there were a lot of people there. We went to dinner together with our best friends, our respective, best friends, her two best friends and my best friend.”
Christine added, “I think maybe (Anna) has a lot going on and a lot of time has passed since we wrapped. So maybe she forgot, but part of me wants to be like, ‘Anna, hello, do you want me to send you the picture? You forgot you treated me to truffle pasta?'” I would like to know when and where this truffle pasta took place.

If I’m being honest, Christine coming out as a villain is surprising to me. I thought that despite her rivalry with Anna, she was enjoyable to watch. She also shared so much of her personal story when it came to infertility and having more children. As rich and unrelatable as she might seem, I actually thought those parts were relatable. And I would love to see more of her.
