Jacob Windham-Burke Is “Used To Random And Constant Hate”; Isn’t Bothered By Negative Press About Braunwyn Windham-Burke

Braunwyn Windham-Burke somehow went from a misunderstood, tepid freshman housewife to….well, this. The Real Housewives of Orange County star suddenly found herself as less of a victim of Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson and more of a villain. She came under fire for supposedly lying about Shannon Beador’s assessment of Gina Kirschenheiter’s house. Newbie Elizabeth Lyn Vargas caught her investigating her financial situation. And Kelly Dodd outright accused her of being a fan alcoholic for a story line.

Despite the fact that she has a lot to be cheered on about, it seemed like everyone was over her this season, including fans. Braunwyn not only came out and got sober, but she was heavily involved in activism too. But some are finding it disingenuous. I don’t think it helps that she’s already floating the idea of bringing her new girlfriend, Kris, onto the next season of RHOC. Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

Braunwyn for the most part seems to be handling all the criticism well. She even recently celebrated one year sober. She’s admitted that she might be addicted to fame. So it doesn’t sound like she has any plans of hiding from the hate. But how is her family taking all this?

Her son, Jacob Windham-Burke is going on the record with his feelings on all the hate his mom is getting. He recently spoke with Confessional Magazine about Braunwyn’s negative press. According to Jacob, it doesn’t affect him. He said, “No, not me. I’m young, you know? But I’ve grown up in the age of the internet, I’ve grown up online. So I’m used to that. I’m used to random and constant hate. So much so that it doesn’t bother me. I’m just kind of used to it.”

He continued with some serious insight. “No matter what you do, you’re always going to get hate for it. Doesn’t matter if you’re doing something good or bad, you’re always going to get hate for it. You should just know that you’re going to get hate for it, and if you know that, then the hate won’t affect you.”

Jacob also explained, “Yeah, I mean, random hate doesn’t matter. If it’s constructive criticism, you should take that, but if it’s just hate, that doesn’t matter at all. That’s the only reason why most people are doing it. They just want to get a reaction.”

When it comes to his role on his mother’s show, he admitted, “I did it because it was just fun. It’s a very shallow reason, but it’s the most true. I find it kind of funny that everyone thinks I’m gay now. I’m not gay. Everyone thinks my dad and I are both gay but we’re both straight men, we are just very effeminate, you know?”

Jacob concluded, “I think that there should be more representation of straight effeminate men. When I dress up, it’s a super strong character, and since I’m an actor, I love that.” So much wisdom for a 15 year old boy who is finding himself in a silver screen spotlight.

Whether you love Braunwyn or hate her, you have to admit, she raised an awesome kid. And I would love to see more of him on my screen next season.
