At the beginning of the pandemic I went on a serious Married at First Sight binge. Could not get enough of Dr. Pepper-Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson. I binged Season 9 first and was totally mesmerized by the toxicity of the “basic Caucasian sex” between Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson. Then there was Amber Bowles and Matthew Gwynne. I still feel for Amber and hope that Matt’s music career never takes off.
I moved backwards during my binge watch and no season seemed as good as Season 9. That is until I watched Season 5 MAFS in Chicago. Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico were perfect for each other. Remember when Anthony had a dream about the letter “A” the night before Dr. Pepper showed up? Just me probably, I remember the dumbest things. But still, they were super cute and one of the few couples from the show to still be happily married. They have more good news too!
Page Six reports that Anthony and Ashley, “welcomed their second child, Vaeda Marie, at 11:11 a.m. on Wednesday.” Season 5 aired in 2017 and the couple had their first child, Mila, together three years later. Now, “the couple told Page Six in a statement that,” their new baby, “weighed a whopping 6 pounds flat and is 19 inches long with a full head of hair.”
Ashley also opened up, saying, “this pregnancy was not easy on me and the birth was even harder but meeting the new addition to our family made it all worth it!” The happy mom also shared, “it was definitely love at first sight. We can’t wait to get her home and introduce her to big sister.”

Congrats to the happy couple! Anthony and Ashley also recently appeared on Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam. I love hearing good news about reality-romance couples. Let’s hope Season 12 gives us more couples like these two.
