When Real Housewives of Atlanta producers asked Kenya Moore if Drew Sidora’s husband Ralph Pittman was good looking during one of her confessional interviews, I could not help getting flashbacks to Kenya and Apollo Nida flirting it up back in the day. On every cast trip, they irked his then-wife Phaedra Parks. She was so annoyed that she wore that whole mesh bathing suit/ coverup ensemble.
They argued about this at multiple reunions. Apollo even claimed that Kenya came on to him off-camera when they were both in Los Angeles. Phaedra slut-shamed Kenya for years. Kenya disrespected Phaedra’s marriage for years. It was just such a messy situation, all around. Then, right before Apollo was set to go into prison he finally spit out the truth: he never saw Kenya in LA. He made that whole thing up. Regardless, the damage was done. Phaedra and Kenya’s animosity produced some iconic moments, but does she regret any of it?
During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen said to Kenya, “We know now that Apollo definitely gaslit Phaedra when it came to the two of you. Do you wish you had handled that situation differently?”
Without any bit of hesitation, Kenya answered, “Yes, absolutely. Absolutely.” After that, she went onto elaborate, “I think I could have just distanced myself from Apollo altogether and not [have] been so chummy chummy, especially if it bothered his wife.” Exactly! Now, she gets it. If only this happened sooner. I would have loved to see Phaedra and Kenya on the same side of a feud for more than one minute.

Andy asked Kenya, “Where do you and Phaedra stand now?” The twirl enthusiast shared, “You know what, honestly, we don’t have a relationship. But, we’ve been on each other’s social media. And we’ve made jokes and stuff. So, I think it’s pretty cordial.” That’s a lot more than I ever expected.
