Even though Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice “made up” during Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7, it just felt like more of a familial alliance than an actual friendship. It’s pretty evident that they make efforts to get along for the sake of Joe Gorga and the kids. Melissa and Teresa were only truly united when they were against Jacqueline Laurita.
However, they’re at odds over another Jacqueline, well, Jackie. Jackie Goldschneider took up residence in Melissa’s ass when she joined the show. And, Teresa couldn’t handle Jackie’s logical statements about the possibility of “controlling a husband.” Then, Jackie commented on “rumors” that Teresa was cheating on Joe Giudice. And, now Teresa is being a hypocrite, bringing up supposed rumors that Evan Goldschneider has been cheating on Jackie at the gym. Pot, meet kettle, much?
When Jackie and Teresa met up to discuss Teresa’s penchant for gossip, Jackie compared Teresa’s claims to a notion that Gia Giudice “does coke in the bathroom at parties.” Terese exploded. Yes, Jackie is going to overuse the word “analogy” this season. I see it now. Nevertheless, both Jackie and Teresa were in the wrong.
Gia’s aunt Melissa feels caught in the middle because she actually likes Jackie and is forced to be cool with Teresa Jackie is her friend and Teresa is her sister-in-law. Melissa told Page Six, “I do get annoyed at certain things Jackie says and I get annoyed at things Teresa says and it puts me in a really bad spot because it’s, like, I love Jackie.” I love how there’s no mention about any sort of affection for Teresa.

Melissa continued, “She’s a good friend of mine, but Teresa is my sister-in-law. So it’s like sometimes even when Teresa is wrong, it’s like I look horrible for just taking Teresa’s side, but what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong.” When has she ever taken Teresa’s side (minus the Jacqueline Laurita of it all)? Where was her post defending her niece after last night’s episode? Just wondering.
“And … these two are like oil and water. They just don’t get along,” Melissa said. She claimed, “I know exactly how to handle Teresa. I know exactly what to do. I know what she’s going to get mad at, what she’s not going to get mad at. So I just look at Jackie sometimes and shake my head. I’m like, ‘Good luck with that conversation.’ She’s like, ‘We need to reason here.’ I’m like, ‘OK. I don’t know who you think you’re reasoning with, but have fun with that.'”
“What a supportive sister-in-law. That Gorga family bond is unshakable,” said no one ever.
