In last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance , more issues are revealed and ultimatums are given. With less than 90 days to get married, the couples have no time to waste. In fact, instead of growing closer, some are drifting apart. No one knows the fate of these relationships, but I have been thoroughly entertained throughout the process.
Yara gives Jovi an ultimatum. Tarik and Hazel‘s ex causes a new issue. Betty invites herself to dress shopping with Julia. Natalie attempts to move forward. Zied makes new demands of Rebecca. Amira feels pressured to go to Serbia. Let’s get straight to the recap!
Jovi, 29 (New Orleans, LA), and Yara, 25 (Ukraine)
Yara is still upset after what she considers was a disastrous engagement party. She still can’t believe he left her in a room full of people that she barely knows, while Jovi had fun with his friends. In his defense, he hadn’t seen his friends and family in quite some time, due to the nature of his work. So, yes, he could have been more attentive, but Yara could have easily stated her discomfort and asked him to incorporate her into the fun earlier in the evening. During their tense conversation, she asks him to stop drinking and consider her feelings more. Good luck, girlfriend. I don’t see Jovi being sober for 9 months.
Jovi, Yara and his parents sit down and recount the engagement party and their pregnancy news. When Yara reveals she wants to elope, his mother is visibly upset. But Jovi decides it’s easier to agree to whatever Yara wants to avoid another confrontation.
Jovi has been attempting to be more considerate of Yara and her feelings. But now that she is pregnant, she is starting to believe New Orleans may not be the best place for them to live. New Orleans is so rich in culture, it’s a shame Jovi is unable to show her there is more to the city, than just partying and drinking.
Stephanie, 52 (Grand Rapids, MI), and Ryan, 27 (Belize)
Stephanie has managed to convince herself that meeting with Ryan’s cousin, Harris is perfectly fine. After her explosive fight with Ryan, she just wants to see a “friendly face.” Sure… and I am Santa Claus. When she sees Harris she hugs him like he is the last man on earth. Of course, he seems all too eager to speak badly about his cousin and pick up where he left off. Stephanie even invites him to stay with her until she leaves, which he happily accepts. Sigh! Stephanie just wants a man in her bed, any man. She literally just broke up with the man she was planning to marry and she has already moved on to his cousin. I literally can’t make this crap up!
Mike, 35 (Sequim, WA), and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)
Natalie calls one of her friends in Ukraine to get some advice about her situation with Mike. Her biological clock is ticking, but with the help of her friend, she realizes she has been rushing to move forward without clearing the air. When she returns home, she apologizes to him for continuing to bring up the past. Clearly this is a last ditch effort to get her ring back and get married before her visa expires in a few weeks. Something tells me it’s going to take a lot more than an apology to fix the mess they call a relationship.
Andrew, 32 (Roseville, CA), and Amira, 28 (France)
Amira meets with her father to tell him she has decided to go to Serbia. Naturally, he is worried about his daughter being detained again, after everything that happened in Mexico City. He also thinks Andrew isn’t supportive and he failed to protect her. To drive the point home, her father threatens to never speak to her again, if she attempts to get to America, by going to Serbia. Is it just me or does Amira have zero emotion to her voice?
Andrew and Amira speak with an immigration lawyer about whether going to Serbia is a good idea. They discover that the way Amira answered the question of the purpose of her visit in the airport, may have been the reason she was detained. The lawyer also reveals that there is a good chance that she could be reissued a visa, due to Covid. When they get off the phone with the lawyer, Andrew is even more convinced that his plan will work. But Amira would rather wait to see if she is reissued a visa, but tells him she fears he will be upset with her. Insert side eye here. I wouldn’t care if he got upset or not, I wouldn’t be so quick to put myself in the position to possibly be detained once again.
Brandon, 27 (Dinwiddie, VA), and Julia, 26 (Russia)
Julia and Brandon plan to go shopping for wedding dresses. When his mother finds out, she is so excited she invites herself. Julia worries her mother-in-law –to- be will just try to infringe on her choices. While Julia gets dressed, he asks his mother not to give her opinion. It’s obvious Brandon wants to be anywhere, but shopping for dresses. I don’t know why Julia thought he would be excited about looking at her try on several gowns. His lack of emotion only makes it more difficult for Julia to make a decision. Too bad, her mother-in-law was told to keep her opinion to herself, it may have helped.
Rebecca, 49 (Woodstock, GA), and Zied, 27 (Tunisia)
Rebecca has the day off and she is excited to spend it with Zied at a resort for the night. When they discuss the wedding, he reveals that he has to be married before Ramadan, which takes place in a few weeks. A shocked Rebecca is confused why she is just finding out. Now she feels rushed into having a wedding at the courthouse, which is the opposite of what she wanted. She also doesn’t want to make another mistake like she did with her ex-husband. Well it seems a little too late for that! She has gone to a lot of trouble to bring someone to America, not to be entirely sure he is the one for her. They could always get married at the courthouse and have the wedding she wants later.
Tarik, 46 (Virginia Beach, VA), and Hazel, 28 (Philippines)
Hazel is not happy when Tarik decides to video call their ex-girlfriend for advice on how to seek out a new girlfriend. Huh! Honestly, this just seems like an excuse for Tarik to speak to this woman. Even Hazel isn’t buying his reason for the call. Clearly, Hazel has issues with her, so why he would think this was a good idea is beyond me. This idea to have a girlfriend just seems like a disaster waiting to happen
TELL US- DO YOU THINK TARIK MISSES HIS EX? DO YOU THINK THERE IS A REASON ZIED DIDN’T TELL REBECCA EARLIER ABOUT THE WEDDING? SHOULD AMIRA LISTEN TO ANDREW OR HER FATHER? DO YOU THINK YARA WAS WRONG TO GIVE JOVI AN ULTIMATUM? WHICH 90 DAY FIANCE COUPLE IS THE MOST ENTERTAINING?
