In last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance , more issues arise in the couple’s relationships. Honestly, nothing surprises me at this point with these people. It’s almost as if each episode, they try to ensure its crazier than the last. Let’s be honest, most of these couples seemed doomed from the start.
Natalie almost gets what she wants. Brandon and Julia argue about the wedding. Things get wild at Jovi’s bachelor party. Hazel worries Tarik has feelings for their ex. Zied threatens to go back home. Stephanie moves on without Ryan. Let’s get straight to the recap!
Mike, 35 (Sequim, WA), and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)
Natalie is on her best behavior now that she only has a few short weeks until her visa expires. But due to the pandemic, she worries that they will be unable to have a wedding. Well, sorry to tell you Natalie, but that is the least of your worries. Mike seems to have no desire to get married, at least not to her.
Natalie goes wedding dress shopping in secret in hopes of Mike actually deciding to marry her before she is forced to go home. She even video calls her mom to help her pick out the perfect gown. Meanwhile, the pressure of a wedding in such a short time is getting to Mike. When he finally decides to give Natalie her ring back, instead of taking it immediately, she brings up the past again. Wow! I thought she would have jumped over a ring of fire for that ring. Despite his annoyance, he puts the ring on her finger and eventually she is all smiles. I’m not sure what this means for the future, the man avoids talk of a wedding like a plague. Good luck Natalie, you’re going to need it!
Brandon, 27 (Dinwiddie, VA), and Julia, 26 (Russia)
Julia, Brandon and his parents go to look at the church where they intend to have their wedding. But Brandon’s lack of enthusiasm during the planning process quickly upsets Julia. She takes his indecision as a sign that he doesn’t truly want to marry her. Insert side eye. Obviously, he wants to marry her. He has just about driven his parents crazy, in order to do so. He is just a man who isn’t interested in the details; he just wants to show up. Although I understand her disappointment, if this issue is this upsetting for her, she may have some difficult days ahead once they actually get married.
Jovi, 29 (New Orleans, LA), and Yara, 25 (Ukraine)
Jovi and Yara are finally back on track and starting to enjoy each other’s company. The only issue now is the wedding. When Jovi’s mother goes dress shopping with Yara, she gets emotional about the thought of not being able to be there. Once she sees her mother-in-law-to-be crying, she changes her mind and invites her. I’m shocked; pregnancy must be making her softer. Any other time she is pretty matter of fact about her decisions.
Yara has a close call when she slips in the street and falls while out with Jovi. Thankfully, she and the baby are fine after returning from urgent care. Unfortunately for Jovi, this happened the day of his bachelor party and the day before the wedding. But because he has been so attentive, Yara doesn’t stand in the way of his party. But she asks he only stay out for two hours and not get drunk. Sigh! I know Jovi has turned over a new leaf, but he hasn’t changed that much. There is no way he is going to follow either of those rules the night of his bachelor party.
Of course Jovi and his friends decide to hit one of his old stomping yards, the strip club. I smell trouble! One of his friends even sends him upstairs with a dancer. SMH… This is not going to end well for you, Jovi. Not only did he blow his curfew, he also ignored Yara’s calls while he was out. I guess he forgot he was going to have to go home to her, before they fly to Vegas to get married.
Tarik, 46 (Virginia Beach, VA), and Hazel, 28 (Philippines)
Hazel confronts Tariq about their latest interaction with their ex-girlfriend, Minty. She feels like Tariq may still be interested in Minty, which he vehemently denies. In a post interview, Hazel admits that she doesn’t trust Tariq. Sigh! I don’t know why he thought that calling that woman was a good idea, knowing Hazel asked him never to speak to her again.
Tariq vents to his friend about his issues with Hazel while shopping for his wedding tux. As much as he tries to rationalize his actions, his friend doesn’t agree with him contacting an ex. He finally agrees to delete Minty’s number from his phone, but is still concerned about Hazel not trusting him. Tariq cut the crap! You are still interested in that woman and were trying to see if Hazel was open to rekindling your love triangle.
Andrew, 32 (Roseville, CA), and Amira, 28 (France)
Amira still is feeling pressure to go to Serbia against her better judgment. Despite, her father’s ultimatum and her recent detainment, she decides Andrew is worth the risk. SMH… I’m not sure why she is risking her freedom again, but hey, it’s her life. Fortunately, this time, she actually makes it out of the airport in Serbia. But she will have to quarantine in the hotel for 14 days before she can try to travel to the U.S. Although Andrew is elated, Amira still isn’t sure she made the right decision. Well, it’s a little too late for regrets. I don’t understand why this seemingly mediocre man has so much control over her.
Rebecca, 49 (Woodstock, GA), and Zied, 27 (Tunisia)
Zied meets Rebecca outside of her job to speak with him further about their wedding plans. He still wants to get married, before the month of Ramadan or they won’t be able to stay in the same home together. Surprised and frustrated by the lack of notice, Rebecca feels like he is cherry picking the rules for his religion. Faced with an ultimatum, Rebecca is unwilling to budge and suggests he find alternate lodging during Ramadan. I’m not saying Zied is lying, but it is strange that he would conceal such an important detail for so long. They have literally been talking about him coming to America and their wedding everyday.
Stephanie, 52 (Grand Rapids, MI), and Ryan, 27 (Belize)
Stephanie is still in Belize gallivanting with Ryan’s cousin, Harris as if she just wasn’t engaged to another man. Apparently, Harris has a family that he is willing to leave for the riches he thinks are in America. Stephanie, you are looking quite desperate and thirsty. I don’t even know if she knows what is truly going on half the time. The woman looks like she makes a Xanax and wine smoothie some days.
