Teresa Giudice repeating a cheating rumor about Evan Goldschneider seems to be a polarizing topic, though it shouldn’t be. There is little to defend about sharing damaging gossip at the person’s own birthday party. It would have been better optics if Teresa had spoken to Evan’s wife Jackie Goldschneider privately had she truly been so concerned about the couple’s well-being. But then again, it’s Teresa and she doesn’t always operate in a dignified manner or consider the bigger picture.
In last week’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa claimed to be vindicated after an admission from “Boy’s Night” came to light. Jennifer Aydin was able to prop up Teresa’s seemingly random accusations by revealing that Margaret Joseph’s husband Joe Benigno heard the rumors too. But this info, courtesy of Jennifer’s husband Bill Aydin, doesn’t necessarily inflate the infidelity rumors as a call to question where Joe heard them. Likely from his wife. Nevertheless, Teresa is celebrating a supposed victory in clearing her name of any wrong-doing.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show featured Jennifer and Teresa’s reaction to last week’s episode.
“I was so happy,” Teresa said about Joe’s corroboration. Jennifer agreed, “she’s like, I’m so happy right now.”
Teresa continued, “and I’m being straight up, I’m saying it the way it is. I was grinning from ear to ear. Because I was like, ‘yes I got validation.'”

Of course, this was all about Teresa clearing her name and not about the damaging effect the rumor itself was to Jackie and Evan’s marriage, regardless of whether it was true or not. This is all Teresa’s perception, of course, because there is still her issue of timing and platform.
Ever the victim, Teresa perceives herself as under attack. She said, “to get thrown under the bus, like from, you know, like everybody else. Like they were all coming at me. Again. Which I’m so used to it. Like listen, you only can be the punching bag for so long.”
“I just dust myself…. I just dust them off,” Jennifer interjected.

Teresa then plugged her book while touting her resilience. “And I keep standing strong, like my last memoir,” she said, “so it’s all good.”
“So I was happy that Joe Benigno validated the situation. Cuz it’s like, I wasn’t trying to start trouble,” Teresa explained.
Jennifer agreed, “she wasn’t trying to, like, start trouble on purpose.”
Teresa maintains that her intentions were honorable. Whether Joe’s statement vindicates her or not, Teresa still created chaos and humiliation

Here’s what she had to say. “I was trying to tell her so she could make the rumors stop,” Teresa concluded, “like, that’s a girl’s girl for you. You don’t want these rumors to be out there about your husband. Like you want them to stop. So you know, put a stop to it. And that’s what I was trying to….I was trying to help her if anything but she didn’t look at it that way.”
