Jen Shah’s indictment for alleged money laundering and wire fraud shocked viewers and peaked interest in the fledgling edition to the Real Housewives franchise. At the very least it livened up 2021 a bit. Everyone had a bad year except Andy Cohen apparently.
The fact that Bravo cameras were filming at the time of Jen’s arrest was nothing short of serendipitous. Then there was her dramatic exit from the courthouse. Also caught on camera. So of course viewers were anxious to know how much of it would be included in Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Would Jen be legally allowed to participate? Would Bravo cut ties with her?
That question was pure cynicism. Of course the situation will be exploited as much as legally possible.
A Bravo insider told Us Magazine, “production sees this as a great story line. One that everyone will want to see unfold.”
Jen is out on bond and awaiting her trial in October. So she is certainly physically able to participate in the rest of Season 2, which is, “still filming.”
Of course the interest in Jen would be, “ratings gold.” The insider revealed, “they’re going to use as much footage as they can that they’re legally allowed to use.”

Jen is certainly able, but is she willing to keep on filming. You bet she is. The insider said, “Jen still intends on filming with the cast.”
If Jen treats the rest of the season like some vindication tour, the optics won’t help her case. But why consider humility now.
Of course Jen’s story line will dominate the season. Page Six reported that Bravo will include exclusive footage of the actual arrest.
