Love her or hate her, Teresa Giudice is undoubtedly the OG of OGs when it comes to real housewives. Her family drama is a major reason that Real Housewives of New Jersey delivers season after season. Whether she’s throwing away Melissa Gorga’s sprinkle cookies, igniting a fight between her ex Joe Giudice and brother Joe Gorga or going to bat for her four dortors, her family is always center stage.
And it even goes back to the early days when Melissa and Tre’s cousin Kathy Wakile joined RHONJ behind her back, which Tre says is the “worst thing to ever happen to her.” Nope, not jail. Not her ex being deported. It was her family trying to take her crown.
Teresa asserted her dominance when she proclaimed she was going to “cut the cancer out of her life,” essentially cutting ties with the Wakiles for good. Kathy, Rosie Pierri and their family subsequently did not appear on the next season. And since then, the fam’s been pretty bitter about it.
The Wakiles made themselves relevant again recently when Kathy’s son Joseph Wakile called the Gorgas “farm animals.” The comment was in reference to Melissa and Joe not attending Victoria Wakile’s wedding, showing that the bad blood really runs that deep.

Melissa responded to Joseph’s comments when asked, saying that the family is just sour they lost their Bravo golden ticket. She added that she thinks he was talking about the siblings Teresa and Joe, not Joe and Melissa, but Joseph hasn’t cleared it up.
Now, OG Caroline Manzo has commented on the feud, because we know she loves getting into this family’s business. And as it was in the old days, she’s #TeamCannoliKathy.

In an interview with Access, Caroline said she wasn’t going to “judge” Joseph for making the comment. “I think they got a bad deal,” she continued. “I’m a Wakile family fan so I will not go against him on that. He’s defending his family.” And we all know how Caroline feels about keeping family close, unless it’s Dina Manzo.
While Kathy claims people have “begged” her to return to RHONJ, it doesn’t seem likely while Teresa’s the queen bee. The idea of Caroline coming back, on the other hand, has been welcomed by Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs, so never say never. We know Mama Manzo has feelings about the Tre vs. Jackie feud, so maybe her level-headedness is exactly what the show could use after this bombshell of a season.
