Thanks to social media, it’s not new news that Teresa Giudice has happily moved on after the dissolution of her 20 year marriage to Joe Giudice. In November 2020, Teresa revealed through an Instagram post that she had a new boyfriend. If not for that outlet, Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers would only now be realizing why Teresa has been consuming so much pineapple.
On last week’s episode, we got a peek of Luis Ruelas knocking on Teresa’s door and her giddy to go answer it. Yes she is clearly smitten, and the change in demeanor is apparent to the RHONJ cast. They are all happy to embrace this new Teresa, one who hasn’t fought with anyone since apologizing to Jackie Goldschneider. A notable streak for sure.
Brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga already met Luis off camera. But now that he will be onscreen interacting with the rest of the cast, they are sharing their opinions about Teresa’s new man and where they see the six month relationship heading.
Long time friend Dolores Catania is certainly one to offer good insight. And she recently told Us Weekly that Luis has her approval. Not only that, but she thinks Teresa and Luis will eventually tie the knot.
“Louie is an angel,” Dolores said “like a piece of heaven. Even his voice. He’s so perfect. He’s so cute.”

Certainly after the difficulties of her marriage to Joe, Teresa deserves some happiness.
“I see a marriage there,” Dolores opined, “I see potential for so much and a life together, and I see a lot of love between them. So, I’m really hopeful and really optimistic about what’s going on there.”
Teresa chose to keep Luis under wraps until she felt comfortable going public with him. But Dolores knew something was up, and that it was having a positive affect on her friend.
“I knew she was very happy and she had a different air about her,” Dolores revealed, “she even looked prettier to me. … I almost didn’t want her to tell me, because she wasn’t comfortable enough to talk about it.”

Dolores and Teresa are similar in valuing their privacy. And Dolores comes off as someone who takes a more practical approach to love. But she gave Teresa all the support to enjoy her new relationship.
“Even for people like Teresa and [me], it’s hard to even articulate how you’re feeling,” Dolores said, “you feel vulnerable, you feel silly, you feel embarrassed. … So, her being giddy and in love and just a soft side, I love to see it and it’s OK. It’s safe because I love this guy.”
Even ex-husband Joe has positive things to say about Luis. Teresa introduced her new boyfriend to Joe in the Bahamas, where her ex is currently living. At the time of the meeting in March, Joe told Us Weekly that, “it was awkward to see my ex after a lifetime together with someone else.”
But Joe added that, “I believe we deserve to all be happy and our children will thank us for it. I am genuinely happy for both Teresa and Luis and wish them the best!”
