Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars Jennifer Aydin and Melissa Gorga have never been friends. Last season, Jennifer indulged her inner tequila monster and tossed some silverware at Melissa. The Jersey ladies can never eat a meal in peace.
Melissa denied faking story lines for RHONJ. Seriously? I’m still not buying that Melissa and Joe Gorga wanted a fourth child. There was crazy drama when Teresa Giudice defended her ex-husband, Joe Giudice, after he slammed her brother (and Melissa’s husband,) Joe Gorga. That infuriated Melissa and Joe. This time, Melissa sent the cheese tray flying. Of course, Jennifer took Teresa’s side.
Melissa called Jennifer “a wannabe” and stated that Jennifer spends all her time kissing up to Teresa. Melissa also said that she has “no time for Jennifer.” She stated, “I feel like she talks about her whole family. She talks about everyone other than herself and her marriage.”
But Melissa has been dealing with her own marital issues this season. Joe isn’t happy that his traditional wife has a clothing boutique, Envy, and wants to be fulfilled outside of the home. In the Hamptons, Joe lost his mind because Melissa walked out of a restaurant and didn’t wait for him (and his fragile ego.)
Earlier this season, Melissa told her husband, “I’m not going to give up what I want to do in life. You’re holding me back.” In response, Joe said, “Listen, go be whatever you want to be in life. We’re done.” Yikes!
During the RHONJ season finale, Joe confronted Margaret Josephs about calling him “a man chauvinistic.” I think that he was going for male chauvinist here, but if the shoe fits, Joe. Melissa told her friends to let her handle her marriage. It definitely seems like the couple is experiencing real issues. Joe refuses to accept that Melissa has changed from the doting housewife and mother that he married.

Jennifer gave US Weekly her opinion of Melissa and Joe’s marriage. Jennifer remarked, “I think their marriage is strong. I think their marriage is solid.” Jennifer added that Joe could be “pouting” about Melissa’s success. Jennifer acknowledged that “the celebrity may have gotten to her head.” So shady, Jennifer.
Jennifer doesn’t believe that the couple’s reality fame is “so detrimental that they were on the verge of divorce.” I’m not so sure about that after the tension this season. The RHONJ star commented that the couple, who tied the knot in 2004, are “both extremely in love with each other.”

She continued, “I know they get annoyed with each other left and right, but that’s what marriage is. That’s what true love is when you’re able to love and be annoyed all at the same time.” The mother of five added, “So I think their marriage is fine. They’re a great couple.”
Jennifer expressed some surprise when she learned that Melissa referred to her as “a wannabe.” She admitted that being part of appearing on RHONJ means sharing your thoughts about other cast members. Jennifer added, “I wish her all the best.”
