Whether we like it or not, it’s hard to deny that Nene Leakes is a Bravo legend. When she’s on the Real Housewives of Atlanta screen, or when she’s on the sidelines, Nene is always giving us a piece of her mind. After insisting she wasn’t let go of the show, Nene did everything in her power (which wasn’t much) to try and sabotage the franchise altogether. She even wanted to get her “little sister”, Porsha Williams in on that plan.
As we all know now, Porsha didn’t hop on Nene’s scheme to take down RHOA. In fact, Porsha seemingly used the show as a vehicle to secure Falynn Guobadia’s the bag. Quite the power play. Pretty much anyone with internet access got in on the news of Porsha and Simon Guobadia’s surprise engagement. And as always, that includes Nene.
When the news first broke, Nene almost immediately congratulated Porsha on her newfound love and engagement. That is, until fans quickly corrected Nene and she rescinded her supportive comments. In a recent interview with Sheen Magazine on Instagram, Nene gave some hilarious info regarding Porsha’s new man. She admitted, “I saw Dennis [McKinley] and this man in a picture, right. I didn’t pay it much attention. When she said she found love a day later, I thought she was finding love with Dennis. You know who I really thought he was? I thought he was [Porsha’s mother’s] boyfriend.” That’s right. She thought Simon was Porsha’s mom’s man. The hits just keep coming!
As far as Porsha running away with her friend’s man goes, Nene said, “Believe they probably are not really friends. They probably aren’t friends and probably were never friends, and that’s probably the truth. Now, I’m just gonna have to second that because everything on the show appears to be something that it’s truly not.”

Nene continued, “Everybody on the show came through me, just about. Cynthia [Bailey]came through me,Yovanna [Momplaisir]came through me, Tanya [Sam] came through me, Porsha came through me.” Can we just take this moment to remember “that bitch from Clark”, Yovanna? A lowkey icon, if you know your RHOA history. Anyways, Nene added, “I knew none of them when they stepped their foot on this show, but that’s how they presented it to the world. Now we did become friends, some of us, on and off the show, but I never seen them a day in my life. I can believe they were never friends, ever.” Well now we know.
Nene also defended her ongoing(?) friendship with Porsha. She said, “I can still support Porsha. I don’t have to fall out with Porsha because she’s done whatever it is she’s done. As a friend, you can always tell a friend when they’re wrong. I have not had a conversation with Porsha personally to say you’re right or wrong or how can I support you. I’m certainly not gonna fall out with her because she’s dating somebody.”

But Nene still has her boundaries. And of course, can still bring the shade. She asked, “Why would you stop being friends with them…You may look at them side-eye, you may not want them around your dude. I mean, now you know so there are boundaries now, but you don’t stop being friends with them.” Sure then! Just keep being friends with people you side-eye and don’t trust around your man! Sounds like Porsha and Simon are all set to live happily ever after!
