After a super rough landing in her first season, Leah McSweeney is present and accounted for. Against all odds, she has arrived to her second season of Real Housewives of New York. For anyone new here, the second year is when many newbie Housewives take it to another level. It will be a treat to see how Leah wields her sophomore status on some of her more experienced costars.
While many of the ladies on RHONY seem content to stay in the dark ages, time ticks on. As the world of reality TV and Bravo continues to evolve, it has essentially become a cult with a major following. And who is one of our most revered Sister-In-Bravo? None other than the iconic Rihanna.
Rihanna has a history of sharing her thoughts and opinions on our favorite Bravo ladies. She’s been known to mix it up with a couple too! I will literally never forget the time she gave a hand-up to Erika Jayne and hired her to walk in her history making fashion show. At the time, we didn’t know just how badly Erika needed that work! More interestingly, Rihanna may actually be real life friends with our very own Leah McSweeney.
Leah has made mention of the fact that she and Riri have crossed paths long before her entry onto RHONY. Leah more recently revealed that she and Rihanna still DM to this day. Leah shared. “We’ve DM’d back and forth. I met her at an after party for the Met Gala one year.” Amazing!

Apparently Rihanna has been a fan of Married to the Mob streetwear line founded by Leah. And Leah has nothing but admiration for Rihanna back. She said, “[Rihanna]’s the fucking baddest bitch in the world. There’s no one hotter and cooler than Rihanna. It’s pretty amazing [to DM with her.]”
Leah tried to describe just how monumental it is to know Rihanna. She explained, “How I gauge that is I tell my daughter because she isn’t isn’t impressed by anything. So if I tell her and she’s excited about it, then I know it’s worth being excited over. And she was definitely like, ‘Mom, that’s a very big deal.’ I was like, ‘I agree with you.’” Maybe this is finally something Bravo fans can all agree on!
