The Married At First Sight season has wrapped and luckily for us we didn’t have to wait long for an update. This cast has had its fair share of drama with their stranger spouses, especially certain couples. The couples give us more insight on their lives after the show.
Part two of the reunion concludes with an update on the last two couples. We also get a look at some never before seen footage. For the first time, the experts give their thoughts on all of their matches. I can’t wait to see if they take accountability for one of the worst husbands in the history of the show. Let’s get straight to the recap!
Paige & Chris
When we last left Chris, he was having yet another tantrum over his ex- pastor and friend Dwight. Now that he has made an appearance at the reunion, Chris is enraged. After storming out, he calms down after speaking with producers. Chris is so full of it, it’s ridiculous. He keeps apologizing and saying he needs to grow up, as if he is a teenager. Paige speaks further with the host alone about her experience on the show. She admits her soon to be ex-husband’s behavior brought out a lot of her insecurities. But she wants everyone to know that she isn’t weak or desperate; she was just committed to the process. Insert side eye here. I’m sorry, but there isn’t enough commitment in the world to deal with that guy, as long as she did.
Paige’s friend, Nancy joins the conversation to give her thoughts on Chris. A clip is played of Chris telling Paige’s bridesmaids that he wasn’t attracted to his new wife at the wedding. I have to admit, when I saw that scene, I couldn’t believe her friends didn’t say more in Paige’s defense. Nancy is still very annoyed and angry with Chris, much like the rest of the world. She feels she could of have said more, but she wasn’t aware of everything that was happening. But she does confirm that despite Paige’s calm demeanor, she is going through a rough time. I think we all could guess that. I don’t care what Paige says, she was trying to figure out a way to make her toxic marriage work. Even the experts admit Chris fooled them. But they definitely got their revenge, when they gave everyone the opportunity to shame him for his actions throughout the episode.
Haley and Jacob
Well it looks like some things have remained the same since decision day. Haley and Jacob still hate each other. These two were never a good match from the beginning. They literally bickered throughout the entire process. Now they have brought the same negative energy to the reunion.
Jacob credits the demise of his marriage to he and Haley just being two very different people Haley believes Jacob never truly tried to get to know her as a person. Why are we even dragging this out? She made up her mind about him very quickly. She didn’t like his looks, quirks, 80s wardrobe or much of anything about him. I believe he tried in the beginning, but when he realized that she just didn’t like him, he gave up. Who can blame him? For some reason, the host is acting like Jacob just imagined that the woman he was living with didn’t want to be bothered with him. Sigh! I don’t know any man who would go out of his way for someone who puts up a wall, at every turn. Even the experts agree that Haley wasn’t open to Jacob. Thank goodness, we don’t have suffer through watching them argue anymore.
