The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills looks a lot different this season. And that’s a good thing. Garcelle Beauvais isn’t a newbie anymore and she’s definitely hit her stride. Watching her take Lisa Rinna to task over the bullying of Denise Richards gave me life. Crystal Kung Minkoff, in her freshman year, already came out the gate, holding Sutton Stracke accountable for some racially insensitive comments. Guys, we are only on episode 2.
One person who lacked all of the above confidence to confront her cast members and hold them accountable was Miss Accountable herself, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. Her business may be called “All In” but at no point did she demonstrate that on the show. Unless she meant “all in” when it comes to being Kyle Richards’ puppet. So it’s fair to say that Teddi brought very little to the table and therefore, had to go.
But Kyle isn’t the only one that lost an on-show ally but gained a true friend. Dorit Kemsley recently told Access how her relationship with Teddi improved once she was fired from the show.
According to Dorit, “You know, the really funny thing is I’ve become better friends with Teddi now that she’s not on the show than I ever was when she was on the show.” Maybe Teddi’s husband is giving Dorit a discount on their home security for the new place they bought rent.
Dorit continued, “It’s really interesting. It’s strange. But, it’s nice to not have the pressure of the show. We have sons that are very similar in age and they get along really well. We have established a friendship outside of the show that’s growing.” I do find this funny because Dorit always seemed like she barely tolerated Teddi on the show. I wonder where the change of heart came in.

Either way, Dorit admitted, “I was [very surprised].” Well that makes all of us.
It’s funny how these relationships change over time when it comes to this cast. They either love you or they hate you. Then they love you again. Unless you’re Lisa Vanderpump or Denise that is. Then you will be run out of town and off the show. And slammed in the press.
It’s hard to understand these women and why they pick and choose who their friends are but I have to think they are they most calculated cast out of all the franchises. Hell, right now they are all in the press accusing each other of being the biggest pot stirrer of the season. But how long can they keep this up?
As Kathy Hilton teased in the trailer – “life is a poker game, and everybody has to show their cards.”
