Luann de Lesseps Real Housewives Of New York

Kenya Moore Backs Luann de Lesseps In Feud With Eboni K. Williams About Education

The current season of the Real Housewives of New York is truly unlike any other. The smaller gang of five women take on the coronavirus pandemic (namely, Ramona Singer’s maskless antics) and a racial reckoning across the country that truly impacted NYC in a significant way. The show FINALLY added its first Black cast member Eboni K. Williams, a friend of Leah McSweeney and a totally badass career woman.

It’s clear as Bravo has started to diversify Real Housewives casts from many cities that the burden is being put on the woman of color who are responsible for educating and correcting the behavior of upper-class white women of privilege. Just look at Tiffany Moon’s first season on the Real Housewives of Dallas or Crystal Kung Minkoff’s first few episodes on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And honestly, it’s not their job to be the moral compass of the group. Just show me their massive houses and fabulous lifestyles, and let the ladies who can’t get with the program read a book to deal with their own issues.

Last week’s RHONY episode was especially hard to watch. Luann de Lesseps called Eboni “angry” and kicked her out of her house for correctly saying she has more education than her fellow co-stars. The Countess needs a chill pill. I’d understand the outrage if Eboni was trying to be the queen of cabaret or a spokesmodel for Jovani, but that’s not the case.

Every RHONY fan and their mother has an opinion on the Eboni v. Lu feud. And it seems as though Real Housewives of Atlanta supervillain Kenya Moore is taking a break from clowning Porsha Williams’ new relationship to give her opinion where it’s not necessary.

Lu posted a video on Instagram to promote last week’s episode, and Kenya made her stance known. “LOL degrees make you more education it doesn’t always mean they’re more intelligent,” Twirl commented, captured in a screenshot by @QueensofBravo on Twitter. Someone call up Wendy Osefo with the four degrees to teach Twirl a lesson. And to be fair, Eboni never said she was more intelligent, just more educated than her RHONY co-stars which is A FACT.

It’s obvious Kenya got along veryyy well with The Countess and Kyle Richards on the Real Housewives All-Stars trip. Because that’s the only explanation for her defense of their white fragility rather than seeing how those conversations affected both Eboni and Garcelle Beauvais in their respected feuds.

Kenya is messy at heart, but this seems to be more of a nasty and unwarranted opinion in line with her view on Porsha Luther King’s work with the Black Lives Matter movement. Or her attempting to expose Drew Sidora when she was rightfully called out for cultural appropriation due to her Halloween costume last year. Kenya needs to sit back and let Eboni and Garcelle speak their truth, even if she doesn’t agree with it.

TELL US – DO YOU AGREE WITH KENYA TAKING LUANN’S SIDE WITH HER FEUD WITH EBONI? DO YOU THINK KENYA HAS A RIGHT TO COMMENT ON THE RHONY FIGHT?
