Per usual, the latest season of Real Housewives of New Jersey came with rumors aplenty. Even more on theme, the house-husbands were deeply tangled into the mess. There was the entire Evan Goldschneider cheating debacle. Then there was the hearsay about Joe Gorga not paying his bills. Danielle Staub has also alleged something similar about Joey G.
This season, the rumor about Joe came from Michelle Pais. It was then backed up by Jennifer Aydin. Jennifer went a step further, though. Jennifer waited for her moment, and then dragged “The” Margaret Josephs into the fiasco. Let’s not forget Marge’s husband, Joe Benigno is a plumber. Supposedly, off camera, Marge confirmed to Jennifer that she already knew Joe G didn’t pay his bills. Jennifer claims that Marge said something to the effect of, “You think I don’t know? My husband’s a plumber,” behind the scenes. Yikes.
Am I the only one having flashbacks to season 3 of RHONJ? Back in those days, Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice were in the thick of their legal and financial undoing. It was also Joe and Melissa Gorga’s first season on the show. Who can forget the turmoil these two families were going through? And as it was happening, accusations about Joe Gorga not paying his bills were thrown about. The source of these rumors back then? A plumber! Now check that.
In a recently aired podcast, Jacqueline Laurita, of all people gave some commentary on the revival of this Joe Gorga rumor. Reality Blurb reported on the episode and made it clear that Jacqueline had heard of Joe’s failure to pay contractors long before Michelle made her way onto the show.

Jacqueline shared, “I’ve heard those rumors many years. But then I — I think I had this talk with Joe before about the rumors actually a long time ago, and the way he was trying to explain it to me was when you’re in the business he’s in… in contracting, or construction, or whatever, you hire people to do jobs and if they don’t do the job right, then maybe you don’t pay them.” That tracks. We know Joe loves a contract. That’s how he got out of paying Michelle’s husband on this latest season!
Former Housewife Jacqueline also shared, “this is what Melissa would tell me.” She ended her comments on the matter saying, “Those rumors have been around for a very long time. I don’t know if they’re true or not.” I’m just guessing here, but could she have heard the tea from her season 3 buddy, Teresa? And if so, does that make them more or less believable?
