I am feeling excited about Real Housewives of Orange County again. Braunwyn Windham-Burke was fired, along with Kelly Dodd and one-hit wonder Elizabeth Lyn Vargas. Former RHOBH star Heather Dubrow is coming back to make Season 16 classy again.
Braunwyn wasn’t ready to turn in her orange. She stated, “I’m incredibly sad to not be able to come back to The Real Housewives of Orange County next year. I know I may have been too much for some, and that’s okay,” she said. “I am real, and I am happy being me.”
Braunwyn had a wild two-year ride on RHOBH. She celebrated one year of sobriety on February 1, 2021. She came out as a lesbian. Her husband, Sean Burke, supported her every step of the way.
Kelly was polarizing for viewers because of her many dangerous and inaccurate comments about the Covid-19 pandemic. She also mocked the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kelly took to Twitter to comment on her exit. “The last five years have been an amazing experience. The next five years will be even better,” she wrote. “I am so grateful for all the love and support and so excited about the future #RHOC.”
But that all that love didn’t last long. Kelly blamed Braunwyn for losing her job. And let’s face it, Kelly’s husband Rick Leventhal just departed Fox News, so it’s not a great time to lose that Bravo paycheck. Kelly dissed Braunwyn by posting a screenshot of their text exchange on her Instagram. That’s low.

Braunwyn posted a message checking in with Kelly. Kelly responded, “This was your fault. We’d still be on the show if you didn’t make things so dark and ugly and brought all that political ‘woke’ BS.”
Then Kelly went off in the captions, claiming that Braunwyn said that she was fired because she was gay, and her co-stars didn’t like her. “Not because she’s a terrible mother. Not because she’s a horrible person to her husband,” Kelly wrote. “The only reason she was fired is because she is gay. What a fucking nut job classic narcissist!” I think this may be a case of pot, meet kettle.

Kelly also said that all Braunwyn “cares about is herself and being famous and she single-handedly ruined last season.” She also called the mom of seven “an awful, insincere and fame-hungry phony.” Again-pot meet kettle.
Braunwyn responded, “They’ve called me a narcissist, they’ve said I’m a bad [mom]. Those are easy digs.” Braunwyn is confident that she is a “great mom” with “great kids.”
Braunwyn told Page Six, “You just have to laugh at this point –only Kelly Dodd would post screenshots of her own texts that make her look wildly immature.” I agree with Braunwyn.

“I guess that’s what being bitter is like, and I tried to empathize with her, as you can see,” Braunwyn added. She also claimed that Kelly omitted a portion of the text exchange where she sent good wishes to Kelly and “hoped she has a beautiful life.”
Braunwyn, for some unknown reason, isn’t closing the door on a possible relationship with Kelly. I would slam that door and triple lock it, but that’s just me. She commented, “I’m a big believer in growing and changing, and second chances (or in this case 10th or 11th chance). At the end of the day, it’s just a tv show and we are still neighbors,” Braunwyn added.
