Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne is driving the struggle bus right now, and it has three flat tires. During the most recent episode of RHOBH, Erika revealed to the cast why she left her husband, Tom Girardi.
According to Erika, their relationship certainly wasn’t the loving marriage that she portrayed on the show. In November of 2020, Erika filed for divorce after 21 years of marriage.
Erika’s life is far from blissful these days. Her husband is accused of allegedly embezzling $26 million dollars from his clients by withholding the funds from their settlements. It was also alleged that Tom gave Erika $20 million dollars in loans from his law firm. While Erika continued to plead ignorance of her husband’s activities, her signature on some loan documents would blow that defense out of the water.
There was also speculation that the divorce was a scam to protect the couple’s assets. Tom claimed that he is broke. And in March of 2021, Tom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Recently, Hulu dropped a documentary all about Tom and Erika’s legal woes. The Housewife and the Hustler dropped on June 14, 2021 on Hulu. And one former RHOBH star declined to participate in the project.
According to Reality Blurb!, Brandi Glanville shared on the June 25, 2021 episode of her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, that she turned down a chance to be in the documentary. Brandi’s manager mentioned the unpaid gig to her.

Brandi said, “I did not have all of the information at the time but we found out that it was for the Hulu doc about Erika Jayne-Girardi.” Brandi admitted that she originally turned down the opportunity because it wasn’t attached to a paycheck.
“I know her. We’re friendly. She’s always defended me. She’s really nice to me,” Brandi stated. “I don’t know anything about that situation so why would I want to speak on it?” But speaking about topics that she has no knowledge of is sort of Brandi’s specialty.
“They got two people that don’t know Erika at all. Danielle Staub, it was kind of hilarious,” Brandi said. “They got Dana Wilkey.” I must admit, having Dana and Danielle seemed random.
“So why would I go and talk about something I don’t know anything about? And for no money,” Brandi remarked. “What are these ladies doing?”

Brandi was surprised that the documentary included a picture of LeAnn Rimes, the wife of her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian. She commented, “They cut to a picture of LeAnn singing and they showed it for a while. LeAnn told me she used to go and sing for them. She’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I met them a lot over the years.’ And I thought it was kind of shady,” Brandi shared. “Listen, she’s just there to play a gig.”
