Season after season the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills falls flat. I’m not referring to their ratings, which are somehow doing fine. No, what I’m referring to is the fact that these women seem to mull over one major issue essentially flattening the drama to one or two conversations. Conversations that take place over, and over, and over, and over, again. Panty-gate. Puppy-gate. Etc.
Currently, we have been semi-spared by Erika Jayne’s legal drama. But, beyond that its….a whole lot of nothing. Besides Lisa Rinna name dropping Scott Disick at every turn, the only other thing we have going on is a debate over the definition of the word “violation.” You know it’s getting juicy when the chyron starts looking like Webster’s Dictionary. Not.
During the trip to Tahoe several episodes back, viewers watched Sutton Stracke bring a jacket into a naked Crystal Kung Minkoff’s room. Crystal was very clearly upset by the situation, and Sutton (very innocently) did not quite realize what she had done. In the most recent episode of RHOBH we saw Garcelle Beauvais take up for Sutton on this issue. I thought they said they were done LAST week. Ugh.
In her following appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Garcelle was asked about several aspects of the show. Specifically, Andy asks “Thoughts on Crystal feeling violated by Sutton.” ANDY WE DON’T CARE! Am I the only one bored of this already?
Garcelle let out a literal groan before replying. She said, “That really gets me going. ‘Violation’ is such a big word.” Is it? We all wasted time watching the table define the word together during the latest episode. Is it still that confusing?

Garcelle added, “For a woman to come into your room, you know, normally you’re just like ‘Hey! I’m naked!’ or ‘I’ll be right there!’ Something like that.” She then said, “I just thought she took it too far, and I really think it’s unfortunate.”
In the most recent episode Sutton says “I know that I’m a little off” and references her giant Dr. Suess bow and general strange behavior. She also admits “It’s gonna take me a minute to get over being told that I’ve violated someone. That’s a really strong word.” To which Crystal replied “I’m not going to back down on that word, sorry.” Well damn!

TELL US – THE THE TERM ‘VIOLATED’ TOO STRONG OF A WORD FOR THE SITUATION BETWEEN CRYSTAL AND SUTTON? IS THIS ENTIRE ISSUE JUST GRASPING AT STRAWS FOR SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT OTHER THAN ERIKA THIS YEAR?
