Ladies, never let a man (or anyone) tell you what to eat. Despite fans of Southern Charm seemingly rallying around Naomie Olindo’s new relationship with Metul Shah prior to her exit from the show altogether, things were always a bit off in my opinion. Negging is not a love language people!
Following her split from Craig Conover, Naomie found love in a hopeless place. She fell into the arms of a very fine anesthesiology resident. Too bad he never treated her with a shred of respect even with several cameras in his face. Always a great sign!
After one season on Southern Charm with Metul as a “(boy)friend of”, Naomie decided to leave the franchise altogether. According to social media, the two remained seemingly strong. The pair was freshly moved to New York for Metul’s fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College. That is, until Naomie’s recent Instagram scrub.
Let’s start from the beginning. A post was made by @bestofbravo Monday morning sharing a tweet that read, “Naomie just moved to NYC for Metul and then he cheats on her? She obviously broke up with him and now she’s back in Charleston.” The caption for the screen shot said, “This is on GOOD AUTHORITY.” What’s more, John Pringle liked the post. Damning.
Sleuths quickly noticed Naomie is no longer following Metul on Instagram. He no longer follows her either! What is going on!? Could he really have moved this woman to a whole new city and state just to destroy their relationship? You mean the guy who was only an asshole on screen is one in real life?

Tragically, the break up between Naomie and Metul was finally revealed by Monday evening. Naomie’s agent confirmed to People that the two have split. The statement read, “Naomie and Metul are no longer together. She is back in Charleston and plans to stay there for the time being.”
When Naomie left the show before season 7 it was reported she had, “told production [she wasn’t] returning to the show months [prior.]” It was also said that she was just “tired of the reality TV drama and [didn’t] want to live [her] life that way.”
With his blossoming success in the pillow industry, is there hope for a rekindled love between Naomie and Craig? She is back in town! Or will she steer clear of reality cameras indefinitely?
