Real Housewives of Potomac season six is finally upon us and I for one couldn’t be happier. Despite the surprising news that Monique Samuels will not be returning, RHOP promises to be another drama packed season. Good, because frankly, I’m already bored watching more abysmal work from the other franchises. Honestly how much more can I endure of Erika Bamboozle Jayne pretending that her sham divorce is real? I can’t.
Anyway, with the exit of Monique, a new addition to the RHOP has arrived in the form of Mia Thornton. While we don’t know much about her yet, sounds like we are going to get to know her quite well. But before we get there, Mia is revealing how some of her cast relationships are going to play out.
Mia recently talked to E! News and revealed, “Making friends is always a challenge for me. People gravitate towards me, typically it’s other female founders or other people who are just not necessarily looking for a friendship. They’re looking for a business acquaintance, and I can do that all day long. So it was hard for me to naturally gravitate towards anybody.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with what Mia does for a living, she’s a Franchise Manager for a large group of chiropractors. I’m not really sure what that means but I will take her word for it that she’s a good businesswoman.

Mia continued, “Karen [Huger] and I, we hit it off immediately because she’s living in that space with her La Dame, and she gets it. She’s like, ‘Honey, never apologize for not returning my phone call, because if I don’t return yours, we’re in the same bucket here. We’re busy and we’re focusing on our empires.'” Empires! I die.
Mia added, “So it was hard for me to connect on a personal level, but I opened myself up and I shared things with the ladies to let them know that I am human—I’m not a robot—and we actually found out we had more in common in certain areas than not.”

But it hasn’t been all cherry blossoms for this new housewife. She dished about her issues with the other cast members and said, “I would probably say the most heated moment was with Wendy[Osefo] and Candiace [Dillard]. I think it’s just because we have strong personalities. Anytime you get strong personalities together in a room, our alpha female lioness comes out. We all would have to like make ourselves prominent. We weren’t really gelling well, but I knew that we had—and I know that Wendy and I have more in common than we may even know yet—but I will say that it was a hard time. We were like, ‘OK who is the queen of this castle?’ And of course it was going to be me.”
Sounds like Miss Mia is going to be bringing her A game to this season. Which is exactly what we need in a new housewife. So let’s see what how she works out and what drama unfolds. I will be watching closely.
