Leah McSweeney and Ramona Singer have bickered back and forth since Leah stepped on the scene of the Real Housewives of New York. The Ramonacoaster tries to be a pseudo-parent to Leah at times and seems to get overly offended whenever the newbie talks about sex. Meanwhile, Leah hasn’t always kept her cool, throwing digs at Ramona and literally throwing ravioli at her. Their dynamic is old-school Real Housewives drama and seems like they’ll never truly find resolution, which is probably good for TV.
And the current season of RHONY has been hard on both of them. Leah’s been receiving a lot of hate that even has Andy Cohen shocked. And Mona is battling rumors that she’s been fired before the imminent cast shakeup prior to next season. Despite the noise going on in the background, the two still find time to argue about trivial things like penis talk and Holla Heather Thomson. But both are standing their ground — particularly Leah when it comes to defending Eboni K. Williams’ mission of talking honestly about race with the ladies.
And despite the low ratings and otherwise dull season of RHONY, superstar Rihanna just swooped in to save the day. During this week’s episode, Leah and Ramona argued back and forth at a party, as they do. Mona decided to throw a dig at Leah’s fashion business, claiming to not really get it. Leah had a clapback ready, “You’re not exactly my demographic so it’s all good. I already have Rihanna wearing my shit. You think I need you wearing my shit?” Well, you can’t argue with that.

And Rihanna, who is a superfan of the Real Housewives and allegedly pretty tight with Leah, had her own feelings. She posted on Instagram a selfie of her wearing Married to the Mob, Leah’s brand. She also included a video recording of the clip where Leah name drops her. In the caption, Rihanna wrote, “what was said @ramonasinger ? #RHONY.” GIRL. Rihanna barely posts anything on her page anymore unless it’s promoting her brands. But it’s clear she had to take away from the regularly scheduled programming to defend her girl Leah. And I’m honestly here for it.

Leah was obviously overjoyed at the support. She commented, “I love you so much.” Ramona opted to repost it to her own page with some laughing emojis, which is probably the best way she could’ve responded. It’s clear now that Rihanna isn’t exactly an Erika Jayne supporter that she has a new housewife to back. Honestly, the dream would be if Rihanna somehow was added to the RHONY cast. That would be quite the redemption after this otherwise disappointing season.
