NeNe Leakes‘ exit from the Real Housewives of Atlanta was not exactly satisfying for longtime fans. Regardless of your opinion about her these days, you have to respect NeNe for being an OG and taking the franchise to a whole new level. Her last reunion (probably ever) took place via Zoom with her logging off and cutting ties with Bravo. And her boycott of the network and comments about Andy Cohen seems to have burned the bridge for good for another comeback.
NeNe has been through a lot throughout her time on RHOA. We’ve seen her go through a divorce, another marriage to Gregg Leakes and become a glamma. Her career in entertainment reached new heights thanks to her time on the show and she’s arguably the most quotable housewives of all time. She’s had whirlwind friendships with Kim Zolciak, Cynthia Bailey and nearly every one of her co-stars that went through plenty of ups and downs. And forever should be respected as a pioneer for the Real Housewives universe.
NeNe recently shared the horrible news that Gregg’s cancer has returned. Gregg went through a rough bout of colon cancer before being declared cancer-free in 2019. It was tough on NeNe as well to see her life partner’s health deteriorate, so it was worth a celebration when he was officially healthy. Unfortunately, Gregg was told he had to undergo surgery due to his illness’ resurgence.
And the couple received an overwhelming amount of support from fans wishing Gregg the best. And the prayers seem to have helped, as NeNe just announced that Gregg was released from the hospital.

NeNe responded to a tweet that she was supposed to co-host The Talk recently but didn’t end up on the show. Fans were confused why she ditched the gig, but revealed it was due to some unexpected news about Gregg. “I was supposed to be hosting the talk today but I got good news that Gregg was coming home after being hospitalized 6 weeks,” NeNe tweeted.
Hopefully, it’s all good news and Gregg can have a full and speedy recovery. The RHOA fandom needs to band together to show NeNe, Gregg and their family the love and support they need during this tough time.
