With the announcement that Southern Charm’s season 8 is set to begin filming next month, fans are scrambling to figure out whether or not it will be worth their while. It seems the off-season drama has gone completely off the rails. We’ve got a celebrity from just about every echelon getting into this mix. Not only has the Southern Charm crew seemingly enmeshed themselves with the likes of Alex Rodriguez and Kristin Cavallari, but the former cast has found themselves in the reality spotlight too.
It’s been a little under a month since Southern Charm fans were blasting Olivia Rodrigo anthems in solidarity with Naomie Olindo and Metul Shah’s sudden break up. This one hurt. Not only did Metul go through all the effort of asking Naomie to move with him to New York for his residency at Weill Cornell Medical College, he seems to have taken his commitment to her much less seriously. At least that’s what the “terrible messages” Naomie “stumbled across” seem to indicate. I digress.
After her break up with Craig Conover on the Southern Charm screen, many fans were rooting for Naomie and Metul to live happily ever after. That fairy tale isn’t exactly out of reach for Naomie, either. It just might look a little differently than we all expected. Us Weekly caught an interview given by Naomie recently. She seems to be appreciating her newfound freedom, even if it isn’t 100% comfortable yet. She said, “This is the first time in my life that I haven’t known exactly what my next step is. Like, what is my one year plan? What’s my three year, what’s my five year [plan], because I just went through a breakup.”
Naomie noted that she is in a “pivotal moment.” She also wanted to tell others that it’s “OK not to know what’s next as long as you’re enjoying yourself and loving the people around you.”

“I was supposed to be moving, and now I’m back here. So my plans have changed and I have no idea honestly what I’m doing or when or why. I don’t know right now, but maybe next week I’ll know. Maybe next month I’ll know. I’m just trying to stay true to myself and figure it out,” Naomie continued.
The former Southern Charmer also left us with a bit of mystery for what the future could hold. When asked if she had had any “are you for real?” moments, Naomie said “Yeah.” She added, “But we don’t have to get into that.” But can’t we!?
